It has been decided that Aurora, the 168th new champion, will be implemented into the immensely popular MOBA "League of Legends," developed and operated by Riot Games!
She will appear in Patch 14.14, which is scheduled to be released around Wednesday, July 17, 2024!
New Champion Aurora Appears!
I see the spirit realm and mortal realm simultaneously. This blended world is my own, and it’s beautiful.
The new champion Aurora is scheduled to be implemented in Patch 14.14.
She was born into the Bryni tribe of the Vastaya, a being who is half-human and half-beast, in the village of Aamu in the Freljord.
Aurora, who befriended the spirits, begins her adventure driven by a desire to explore the Spirit Realm.
Passive - Spirit Abjuration
Aurora’s spells and attacks exorcise spirits from the enemies she damages. Exorcised spirits follow Aurora around, healing her and granting her bonus movement speed.

By repeatedly landing skill hits using her recastable Q skill and easy-to-use E skill, she can strengthen herself.
Since her Health also recovers, it seems possible to create a build with high sustain, despite being a Mage, by tweaking her items and runes.
Q - Twofold Hex
Aurora sends out a missile that curses any enemies it hits. She can then recast the ability to draw active curses back toward herself, damaging foes who are hit along the way.

This is likely to be Aurora's main skill.
Since it hits once on the recast as well, it has good synergy with Arcane Comet.
W - Across the Veil
Aurora leaps in a direction of her choosing, entering the spirit realm upon landing and becoming invisible for a short duration of time.
"League of Legends" Official Website
She performs a short-distance blink in the target direction and transitions into an invisible state.
By resetting the cooldown upon a kill or assist, it can be used for chasing or retreating.
E - The Weirding
Aurora unlocks a window to the spirit realm, sending out a blast of spirit magic that damages and slows enemies before Aurora hops backward to safety.
"League of Legends" Official Website
She fires magic in a straight line while hopping backward.
Ideally, she would be able to attack while avoiding enemy skills, but since Aurora's hop distance is short, a high level of technique seems to be required.
R - Between Worlds
Aurora leaps in a direction of her choosing, releasing a shockwave that damages and slows any enemies it hits. Afterward, she creates an area that traps enemies within it and allows Aurora to teleport from one side of the area to the other.
"League of Legends" Official Website
She unleashes a circular area-of-effect magic that can restrict enemies within it.
Since she can move instantaneously within that area, it will be useful in team fights, as well as for escaping ganks.
Concept Art and Development Secrets Also Revealed
The origins of Aurora date back to 2018, and the initial ideas were repurposed for Sylas and Lillia.
And now in 2024,
The bouncing Vastayan rabbit is finally being released!
Speaking of Vastaya, their motifs are often animals, such as Sett being a badger or wolverine, Ahri being a fox, and Xayah and Rakan being birds.
Aurora's design is based on a rabbit with freckle-like spots added to create a unique, distinctive look.
The R skill, inspired by the Lost Woods from "The Legend of Zelda," perfectly embodies the motif of a timid rabbit!
