XENOZ, Operator of the "SCARZ" Esports Team, Supports Nishimatsu Construction’s In-House Gaming Event
XENOZ Co., Ltd., which operates the esports team “SCARZ,” supported Nishimatsu Construction’s in-house social event.
The company planned and managed the “N JOY CUP,” a gaming event for employees, which resulted in approximately 600 employees participating both online and offline.
Background of the “N JOY CUP” Gaming Event
Nishimatsu Construction operates construction projects nationwide, focusing primarily on infrastructure development such as expressways, dams, and tunnels.
Since employees are spread across job sites throughout the country, opportunities for interaction across departments and locations were limited.
Consequently, the company’s DX Planning Department within the Technical Strategy Office turned its attention to esports as a means to bridge the gap between employees working in remote locations and boost engagement.
With an eye toward recruiting digital talent in the future, the “N JOY CUP” was launched in collaboration with SCARZ, initially as an internal initiative.
Approximately 600 people participated, resulting in cross-generational dialogue
A total of approximately 600 people participated in the “N JOY CUP” gaming event, both online and offline.
It provided an opportunity for employees working at sites across the country to build closer relationships through the gaming experience.
When questions were posed about projects led by the president or department heads, participants shared memories and behind-the-scenes stories from those times, with some commenting, “It was great to hear from senior management.”
This event created opportunities not only across regions but also across generations, allowing younger employees to learn from the on-site experiences of their more seasoned colleagues.
Comment from Mr. Shiga, Section Chief, DX Planning Section, DX Planning Department, Technical Strategy Office, Nishimatsu Construction Co., Ltd.
SCARZ took the time to consider our company’s challenges, our goals, and even the nature of our business itself before proposing GeoGuessr as a game well-suited to the construction industry.
We are truly grateful that they worked alongside us as partners, standing in our shoes to ensure our success.
