SEGA begins telecommuting in seven prefectures declared state of emergency

In response to the state of emergency declared on April 7, 2020 in Tokyo and seven other prefectures, SEGA SAMMY Group announced that all employees in the seven prefectures will change their working style to telecommuting.


In the seven prefectures where a state of emergency has been declared

The following seven prefectures have been declared in a state of emergency.

  • Tokyo Metropolis
  • Kanagawa Prefecture
  • Chiba Prefecture
  • Saitama Prefecture
  • Osaka Prefecture
  • Hyogo Prefecture
  • Fukuoka Prefecture

In the affected prefectures, all operations will be closed, and all employees will be required to work from home, except for the minimum number of employees specifically authorized by the company to do important work to maintain business and ensure the company's survival.
The period of implementation is until May 6, 2020 (Wednesday ), the deadline for the declaration of the state of emergency to take effect, but the company has announced that it may be extended depending on the situation.
