The last major update to Super Mario Maker 2, Ver. 3.0.0, will be released on Wednesday, April 22, 2020!
New power-up items!
Ver. 3.0.0 will add a large number of power-up items that can be used!

Mario USA Mushrooms
You can transform into Mario from "Mario USA" by riding on enemies, lifting them up, and throwing them at them.

Frog Suit

Limited to the "Super Mario Bros. 3" skin.
Power Balloon
Allows you to move freely in the air like a balloon.

Five new headgear boxes have been added!

Houdai Box
You can fire cannonballs as many times as you like.
The distance of the cannonballs will be extended by taming the cannonballs.
Propeller Box
You can rise up to 3 times in the air.

Red POW Box

Haribote Krivoh

On the night course, Mecha Bowser flies in the sky with a jet engine.
A "Create a World" feature has been added that allows you to create your own world map!
You can now create not only individual courses, but also world maps!
You can create your own map as you like and set your own courses inside the map.
You can change the course icons, set clay pipes, and even set bonus stages for picture matching, so you can create your own ideal map.
You can create up to 40 courses in up to 8 worlds, so you can create your own Super Mario!
You can publish your maps in the "World Courses" section, so you can show off your best maps to everyone and challenge courses created by people all over the world.
Update to further expand the ways to play!
It may seem sad to hear that this is the last major update, but with such a large number of additional elements, it will take quite some time to play through, so there is no time to be sad!
New power-up items, new parts, and the seven Bowser characters, and creating a map is something that I can't wait to do, no matter how much time I have.
