A free update (Ver. 3.0) adding new elements has also been released, starting the same day.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons Nintendo Switch 2 Edition Is Now Available!
In Animal Crossing: New Horizons Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, mouse-like operations with the Joy-Con 2 are supported, allowing for intuitive room coordination and Custom Design creation.
By using the new Megaphone item, which utilizes the console's built-in microphone, you can search for residents using your own voice.
Online play now allows for up to 12 people to play together.
If you use a separately sold USB camera, you can even play while seeing your friends' faces.
The price is 64.99 USD (tax included) for both the physical and digital versions.
If you own the Nintendo Switch version, you can play by purchasing a 4.99 USD (tax included) upgrade pass.

A resort hotel operated by Kapp'n's family has opened at the island's pier, where you can help coordinate guest rooms to welcome tourists.
You can suggest rental outfits and obtain special items at the souvenir shop.
In addition to the island where you usually live, you can now have up to three Slumber Island, allowing for free island creation in a brand-new environment.
Any furniture you have obtained can be placed freely, regardless of how many you actually possess, and Island Designer features can also be utilized.
Furthermore, you can invite friends to your Dream Island and enjoy building the island together.
Other updates have also been implemented, such as collaborations with The Legend of Zelda and Splatoon and an increase in storage expansion services.
