When I returned to the office from out of town, I found a package from BenQ!
I opened the package and found a new product, ScreenBar!
Our press team confirmed that BenQ provided us with this product! Thank you!
I'm glad I'm using BenQ monitors.
So I tried using it right away.
What kind of device is ScreenBar?
As the name suggests, this product is a bar-shaped light to be installed on the Screen (LCD monitor).
However! Don't underestimate it as just a light. As you would expect from BenQ, it is loaded with practical functions for gamers.
- Space-saving design and USB powered for a clean desktop
- Zero glare reflection on the screen
- Automatic brightness setting that is easy on the eyes
- Adjust brightness and color temperature to your preference
It is true that a PC environment is not just a matter of brightness. Because we spend so much time with our PCs, a small improvement in the environment can greatly reduce the load on our eyes.
Let's take a look at the real thing!
Opening the "ScreenBar"
Let's take it out of the box.
The package is packaged in such a way that it is easy to see and neatly displayed.
The contents include a clip for attaching to the display, the light itself, and a USB cable (MicroUSB) for supplying power.
Assembly is very simple. The main unit is fixed to the clip, and the USB cable is inserted through the open part of the clip. The clip is quite heavy and the texture is quite luxurious.
Attached to the monitor!
Let's take a look at the light and see how it fits on the monitor.
The BenQ ZOWIE RL2460 game monitor was installed, and the fit to the 24-inch display is quite good.
As you can see, it is quite sleek and minimal wiring is required.
Attachment is easy. Just adjust the clip and place it on the monitor. The clip is also moderately heavy and stable, and there is no worry about it slipping off.
Trial test
I tested to see how much it actually changes the appearance.
I set the camera settings to a certain level and attached it to a PC for distribution so that I could see the "before and after" as much as possible.
(*The delivery area can be rented out to those who wish to use it, so those who can borrow it can actually feel the effects!)
First, the light is off. It is dark.
Then, auto mode.
Auto mode is an excellent feature that automatically detects the ambient brightness and changes the light intensity to an appropriate level. It is obvious at a glance when compared to the off state. I can read my documents!
Another advantage of this product is that it can be adjusted in various ways, so we tried various settings.
I set the color temperature to the lowest (warmest) and the light level to the maximum. Compared to the auto setting, the atmosphere is noticeably warmer.
Warm colors are relaxing, so they are good for leisurely reading or taking a break after an intense competition.
Next, I set the color temperature to the highest (coldest) and the light intensity to the lowest. The overall color has a bluish tint. Cold colors are helpful for concentration, so it might be good to use when you want to concentrate on work or during a competition.
There is quite a range of settings, so it is nice to be able to experiment with different settings to suit your preferences.
Putting it into practice
So we got to experience it for ourselves!
We had them feel the difference by playing a shooting game with which they seemed to have a high affinity.
First, we tried it without a light. As you can see in the picture, the hand is dark. The keyboard glows, but there is no denying the possibility of typing mistakes.
Light: off
Light: On
Next, the light is turned on in auto mode!
Compared to the photo taken with the light off, it is clearly brighter at hand. The key input error is also a big point, as well as the fact that it is easy on the eyes.
A new item to improve the gaming environment!
It is nice to have a space-saving and stylish light. But that's not the only angle that BenQ has in this product.
In this day and age when we spend significantly more time at our PCs, it is also important how not to strain our eyes, and for esports players, items that can contribute to performance improvement are desired, as it is necessary to act accurately on a frame-by-frame basis.
This product is not just a light, but a product that has been felt to have built in features that meet the needs of general PC users and gamers alike.
