At home, I use a 4K gaming monitor and a 65-inch OLED TV. In addition, I have had many opportunities to see a variety of video equipment at the places I visit for interviews, and I am sure I can tell the difference in my own way. It was during this time that I received an invitation to a " Valerion x AVAC ' Valerion VisionMaster Max ' In-Store Experience Event. I have reviewed monitors and projectors that feature high definition, high refresh rate, and high resolution, but home theater is a blind spot! So I visited AVAC to experience their flagship model "Valerion VisionMaster Max".
"Valerion x AVAC" Ultimate Cinema Experience in 7 cities across Japan
The Valerion x AVAC VisionMaster Max experience event was held on Saturday, May 16, 2026, in seven cities across Japan. The event was held at one of Japan's largest home theater specialty store " AVAC " to experience the flagship model " Valerion VisionMaster Max " of " Valerion ", a brand specializing in home cinema projectors. The event ended with a great success, with the number of applicants exceeding the original plan.
The Saiga NAK editorial team also attended the event on the same day! We have reviewed a number of projectors in the past, but this was our first real home theater experience, and our hearts were racing...so here we go!
The "Valerion VisionMaster Max" costing more than 320 million yen to purchase with the support of Makuake!
The flagship model "Valerion VisionMaster Max" developed by Valerion, a premium brand exclusively for cinema, was born in 2024. The market has been very enthusiastic about the new model . This is the highest-end model in the VisionMaster series that uses an RGB triple laser light source, and as we dare to mention earlier, the price on the official website is 649,800 yen (tax included)!
You may be thinking, "That's a bit expensive...! It's true that it's not easy to afford, but I assure you that the performance is worth the price, so please take a look at it until the end. Just taking a look is free!
Let me show you the performance of "Valerion VisionMaster Max"!
The first thing that was shown was a video message from Eason Zhu, CTO and co-founder of the AWOL Vision/Valerion brand.
No, it's too beautiful. Is this really projected? I was so surprised by the fine resolution that I checked the projector behind me to see if the image was really projected. Eason Joo commented that the "Valerion VisionMaster Max" is a special product designed for an immersive home cinema environment, with outstanding image quality and a lens shift function (see below) that makes it suitable for the modern Japanese living environment. The lens shift function (see below) makes it suitable for the modern Japanese living environment.
All projected images in this article were taken with a single-lens reflex camera (Sony α7C, 28-200mm lens, ISO 3200, F7.1, 1/60 sec.), but brightness and color correction were not applied.
Once again, Valerion was founded in 2024 as a premium sub-brand of AWOL Vision. The company offers a wide range of home theater-related products, including the VisionMaster series of projectors with RGB triple laser light sources, as well as screens and speaker systems.
The company has been attracting worldwide attention, having raised $10 million on the American crowdfunding service " Kickstarter ".
- 3,500 ISO lumens brightness with RGB triple laser
- Contrast ratio of 50,000:1 with patented "EBL" technology
- Unparalleled high color gamut images that cover REC2020
- Anti-rainbow and speckle reduction technology
- Lossless 4K image quality by optical zoom and optical lens shift
The main features of the "Valerion VisionMaster Max" are as shown below. The brightness of 3,500 ISO lumens and the projection expression realized by the patented "EBL" technology are unparalleled.
The Valerion VisionMaster Max, which uses a next-generation RGB triple laser light source, achieves a brightness of 3,500 ISO lumens. This is bright enough for a home projector and practical for daytime use in a living room.
Valerion's patented Enhanced Black Level (EBL) technology analyzes the projected image in real time and optimizes the contrast and color tone by taking into account the balance between bright and dark areas. Whether it is a monitor or a projector, a good one has a different "black expression".
The unique Anti-RBE technology successfully reduces rainbow noise by 99.99%. In addition, Laser Interference Reduction Technology reduces speckle. By reducing color flicker and laser roughness, it reproduces clear images that are easy on the eyes even after long hours of listening.
Optical zoom and optical lens shift are also first-class.
Without moving the installed "Valerion VisionMaster Max"...
Only the projected image is moved up...
Even higher!
By moving only the internal lens without changing the angle of the main unit, the lens can be shifted vertically plus or minus 105%. This means it moves vertically by one screen and a bit more.
Immerse yourself in a demo video that feels overwhelmingly expressive...!
Saiga NAKWe have reviewed the features of "Valerion VisionMaster Max" so far, but seeing is believing. Here is a partial demonstration video.
This is a video of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Shirakawa-go, a village built in the Gassho-zukuri style. The richness of the expression of black and white as well as the intermediate tones in between gives a three-dimensional effect to the image.
Saiga NAKAs you can see, the aerial footage of Tokyo is also very clear. Especially in the nightscape, the exquisite expression of the blacks and whites was clearly shown without any blacks being destroyed and whites not being blown out. Needless to say, the resolution of the images is excellent, even the letters of advertisements brightly illuminated in the night city are clearly visible.

Interview with Joey and Toby, Valerion managers!
We also had the privilege of interviewing Valerion Asia Pacific Brand Manager Joey Li and Valerion Japan Market Offline Channel Manager Toby Tu from Elevation Technology Partners LLC!
- Please tell us about the features of "Valerion VisionMaster Max".
Joey: The "Valerion VisionMaster Max" is the highest specification projector in the VisionMaster series. The VisionMaster series consists of five products: Plus, Plus 2, Pro, Pro 2, and Max, each with different brightness and contrast ratios. "Valerion VisionMaster Max" has 3,500 ISO lumens and a contrast ratio of 50,000:1 for unparalleled visual expression, and is the only model with an optical lens shift function. It is also the only model with an optical lens shift function. The OS is Google TV, which provides easy access to a variety of video streaming services such as Netflix, Prime Video, and YouTube.
- This is a high-priced product in the home theater category.
Toby: Basically, it is for people who have a home theater at home and have higher demands. We would also recommend the projector to those who want a TV larger than 100 inches. "With the Valerion VisionMaster Max, we can project on a large screen of up to 300 inches, so we would like to approach those who are considering a replacement.
- The size of the screen is the biggest advantage of a projector, isn't it?
Toby: From a certain line, projectors cost less than TVs. Another big advantage is the ease of installation. In the early stages of the project, we envisioned the projector being used in a "home theater," in which a dedicated room is built and a projector is installed, but now we are focusing on design with the idea that the projector can be placed in the living room as well. We are now focusing on design with the idea that "it can be placed in the living room. The flexible installation options, such as optical zoom and optical lens shift, support this spirit. The Valerion VisionMaster Max has a sleek design that fits in with the rest of the room like a stylish interior.
- I've heard that it also has low latency.
Joey: It has a low latency of 15ms at 4K/60fps, 8ms at 1080p/120Hz, and 4ms at 1080p/240Hz. We believe that with the game mode turned on, you will have a very comfortable gameplay experience.
- Do you have a message for those who are considering a projector?
Joey: Many people think that projectors are not that good in terms of image quality because of the image they had a long time ago. However, projector technology has certainly evolved over time, and I think there will come a time when projectors will be more convenient than big TVs. And I believe that Valerion will lead that world. I would like you to experience the latest projector technology at an Abac store.

The "Valerion VisionMaster Max" introduced in this article is available only at the official Valerion website and Abac stores nationwide. The fact that it is not sold at electronics mass merchandisers or EC sites shows the pride of being the top model of VisionMaster.
