The Fukuoka Game Industry Promotion Organization (GFF, Kyushu University, and Fukuoka City) has announced the 20th Fukuoka Game Contest, “GFF AWARD 2027,” designed to nurture future game creators, and has opened submissions for the contest.
Starting in 2027, new benefits for winners will include “promotional support for their works” and invitations to exclusive roundtable discussions with the judges.

The 20th Fukuoka Game Contest “GFF AWARD 2027,” aimed at nurturing future game creators, has been confirmed!
With over 10,000 entries submitted across all four categories to date, this contest has garnered significant attention from young game creators nationwide.
Along with the announcement of the event, the call for entries has begun as of Tuesday, September 1, 2026!
What are the categories and prize money for the “GFF AWARD 2027”? New benefits for winners will be added starting in 2027
Starting in 2027, which marks the 20th anniversary of the contest, new benefits for winners will be introduced.
Winners of the Grand Prize and Excellence Award in the Game Software Category will receive “Promotional Support” to help publicize their winning entries, as well as invitations to exclusive roundtable discussions with judges and guest judges.
From promoting your work to gaining insights that will shape your future as a creator, the “GFF AWARD 2027” offers even more opportunities for new challenges after you win.
