Keio Corporation (hereafter, Keio) announced that, in collaboration with TechnoBlood eSports Inc. (hereafter, TBeS), they will hold an online esports tournament for Apex Legends titled "KEIO CUP Apex Legends #2" from Saturday, October 5, 2024, to Sunday, October 6, 2024.
Additionally, public viewing events are planned to be held at Keio Plaza Hotel Shinjuku and Abeno Harukas Kintetsu Main Store.
KEIO CUP Apex Legends #2 is Set to Take Place!
PR TIMESKeio Corporation announced that, in collaboration with TBeS, they will hold the online esports tournament "KEIO CUP Apex Legends #2" for Apex Legends from Saturday, October 5, 2024, to Sunday, October 6, 2024.
KEIO CUP Apex Legends #2 is the second installment of the KEIO CUP Apex Legends, which was held in February 2023. It is being held as part of the "KEIO OPEN INNOVATION PROGRAM," an open innovation initiative launched in 2022 with external partners, including startup companies. This tournament was selected as an esports initiative within that program.
Online streaming is scheduled for the tournament days on the TechnoBlood eSports Official YouTube Channel and KEIOCUP Official Twitch. This is a free-to-enter event that can be enjoyed even by those not participating in the tournament.
The total prize money is 700,000 yen, and on Day 2, strong professional teams from both Japan and abroad will be invited to compete in thrilling matches.
Furthermore, a public viewing event to watch the Day 2 matches will be held at the following two venues:
- Keio Plaza Hotel Shinjuku
- Abeno Harukas Kintetsu Main Store
In addition, a talk event by streamers from professional esports teams and a gift campaign for participants are also planned.
Tournament entries can be made via the tournament website from Friday, September 6, 2024, at 2:00 PM to Monday, September 30, 2024, at 12:00 PM.
