Sengoku Gaming has announced the installation of the first free local 5G experience booth at its home e-sports facility, esports Challenger's Park (hereinafter referred to as "Chalepa"). It is no exaggeration to say that the high-speed communication standard "5G," which is now used by many smartphone users with a growing number of compatible models and carriers, plays an important role in today's infrastructure with its features of high-speed communication, large-volume data transfer, and low latency. Taking advantage of such 5G features, " Local 5G " was designed as a dedicated network within a specific area or facility.
eSports events require high connection speeds and low packet loss. Using Wi-Fi can be unstable due to the large amount of traffic, and wiring and setup are labor-intensive to connect a large number of PCs. This is where "local 5G" wireless networks come into play. Wireless connections require very little setup time, and since a different frequency is allocated than that of mobile carriers' 5G, stable communications are possible without interference. It is truly a next-generation communication technology.
A booth where visitors can experience such "local 5G" for free was created at "Chalepa" in Fukuoka City, Fukuoka Prefecture, in cooperation with APRESIA Systems Corporation (@APRESIA_Systems ), a supporter of the Sengoku Gaming team! Anyone can try it out from Thursday, February 1 to Sunday, March 31, 2024.
This is a great opportunity for anyone who wants to organize an e-sports event in the future, not to mention a player, to try "Local 5G"!
