It was announced that a *Super Smash Bros. Ultimate* (hereinafter referred to as *SSB Ultimate*) tournament will be held on Friday, October 16, 2026, at “Bar Sandai-me Akasaka,” a bar located in Akasaka, Minato Ward, Tokyo.
The winner will receive 10,000 yen
This is a rare event offering prize money in Japan, where community tournaments are the norm, and the winner of the Smash Bros. SP tournament will receive a 10,000-yen gift card redeemable at the bar—a truly generous prize.
Losing participants will be treated to tequila, adding an element of penalty to the event.
(Soft drinks will be served to minors.)
The entry fee is 1,000 yen per hour, and spectators are also very welcome.
Bringing Your Own Controller Is Recommended
Although there is no information about controller rentals, participants are advised to bring their own favorite controllers.
