― Please tell us about the characters you plan to use and your impressions of the new members.
Itabashi Zangief: My characters are Zangief and Marisa. I might also use others.
I've known GO1 for a long time as a top player from Kansai, and now that we're on the same team, there are still parts of the team's dynamic that aren't fully clear to me.
However, I'm actually looking forward to that.
Nauman: The character I plan to use is Mai. I might also use Ken.
In the past, GO1 was often on the opposing team, and from his gameplay, I get the impression that he doesn't slack off and is diligent, which is why I never wanted to face him (laughs).
He was always a difficult opponent because he would definitely get through my projectiles and was constantly setting up traps, so I'm very much relying on him now that he's my teammate.
John Takeuchi: I'm planning to use Rashid and Jamie.
I actually went to my first ever overseas tournament with GO1.
We've known each other for a long time since then. This is the first time we'll actually be talking about games together all the time, so I'm really looking forward to it.
― Please tell us about the characters you plan to use and your impression of DetonatioN FocusMe.
GO1: I plan to use Chun-Li and Cammy.
All the members of DetonatioN FocusMe are very kind and gentle, so I was able to fit in right away.
In terms of playstyle, there are players of various types. Itabashi makes his reads count, and Nauman and John value theory while also having their own unique approaches to the game.
I have the impression that this is a very strong team.
― The rules have changed from last season, so it seems that "SFL: Pro-JP 2025" will be a tournament that tests the overall strength of all four players.
Itabashi Zangief: First, I think there's a high expectation for 20-20.
Considering that you can go into overtime as long as you make it 20-20, I think getting 20 points is important.
It's true that the fourth player will be on the field, so team strength and solidarity will be necessary.
On the other hand, I predict that the value of home and away matches will change a little.
I think it will be a key point whether we can adjust to the rules unique to this year.
― What are DetonatioN FocusMe's strengths and charms?
Itabashi Zangief: Hmm... compared to other teams... what is it? (laughs)
Nauman: Well, there are 11 teams, so among them, only we...
Itabashi Zangief: In my mind, our image is something like earnestness, relentlessness, and challengers.
I want to show everyone how we relentlessly strive for victory.
― What is your impression of Division F?
Itabashi Zangief: The team strength and pre-tournament buzz for REJECT and ZETA DIVISION Geekly are indeed high.
I think they're a collection of players who play in a way that says, "this is what's strong in 'Street Fighter 6' right now," so I want to prepare so that we can compete against them.
GO1: I also think that REJECT and ZETA DIVISION Geekly have high team strength.
That being said, if you ask if we would lose against them, we have a good chance of winning, and if we prepare properly, we're a very strong team, so I'm confident.
I think the other teams are also strong, but we too, you know, will work hard together with our team strength and get along well (laughs).
Nauman: Of course, ZETA DIVISION Geekly and REJECT.
Also, FUKUSHIMA IBUSHIGIN is in the same division, and I think we'll get to see a lot of different characters like Vega, Manon, and Dhalsim.
I'm also paying attention to them because I think they have a lot of explosive potential as a team.
