A full-scale showdown will take place in the competitive online digital card game " Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond " (hereinafter "Shadowverse").

A star-studded lineup of celebrities will clash! ABEMA’s special program “Gals, Sharp Minds, and Shadowverse” will air exclusively and free of charge for three consecutive weeks starting September 1.

ABEMA has announced that it will exclusively broadcast the special program “Gals, Sharp Minds, and Shadowverse” for three consecutive weeks starting Tuesday, September 1, 2026, free of charge.
In this program, a star-studded lineup of celebrities will be divided into the “ Gal Team ” and the “ Sharp-Witted Team ” to engage in intense, serious matches in the wildly popular competitive online digital card game “ Shadowverse.”

Remarkably, all the cast members started as complete beginners at “Shadowverse” and underwent a month of intense training.
Starting from the same starting line, they will hone their skills and compete in a seven-match team battle with their pride on the line.

The "Gal Team" consists of three members: Saya Uetani, a professional wrestler active in the women’s wrestling organization "STARDOM"; Mirichamuu, a model popular on variety shows for her outspoken remarks; and Mari Yaguchi, a former member of Morning Musume who is now active as a TV personality.

Joining the “Sharp Minds” team are Tontsukatan Morimoto, an intellectual comedian and graduate of International Christian University; Kana Nakada, a first-generation member of Nogizaka46 who is now active in a variety of roles as a TV personality, professional mahjong player, and business owner; and rapper Ryofu Karma, who has made a name for himself in numerous MC battles.

Match Rules

The competition proceeds under a point system, with one representative from each team selected to battle; strategic decision-making regarding the order of appearance is a crucial factor in determining the outcome.
In the final, seventh round, members are allowed to give each other advice and consult one another, leading to a “cooperative battle” that brings together the strategic wisdom of the entire team.

Additionally, to liven things up between battles, a unique card talk battle called “Shadowverse Talk Beyond ” will take place.
In this talk battle, players will play topic cards that seem difficult for their opponent to answer and must respond within a time limit.
The winning team will be granted a special privilege that gives them an advantage in subsequent matches, so not only gaming skill but also conversational ability will be a major factor in determining the outcome.
