Lauren Olred's performance of the FF7R theme song "No Promises to Keep" had even Rinya Nakamura putting down her controller and glued herself to the stage. Combined with Aerith's facial expressions and the storyline, the video is a magnificent, yet fragile, performance.

Comment from Nobuo Uematsu

"No Promises to Keep" is based on "Final Fantasy VII," which was released 27 years ago. It is the theme song for Aerith, who has been an important character since then. I wanted to sing a song for Aerith someday, and since "Final Fantasy VII" was an instrumental, I thought it would be nice to sing a song with a different melody than the one in "Final Fantasy VII". I am very happy. This song is a love song, so I hope that Lauren's wonderful voice will spread her wings around the world and become a standard for love songs.
