The highly popular fighting game GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE- (hereinafter, GGST)" reached its 5th anniversary since release on Thursday, June 11, 2026!
Furthermore, the entire Guilty Gear series reached its 28th anniversary this year.
To commemorate these milestones, Arc System Works confirmed the release of the official program GG Series 28th Anniversary x GGST 5th Anniversary Special Program(ギルティギアシリーズ 28周年 & GGST 5周年 記念スペシャル！).
Development Team Releases New Illustration Commemorating the 5th Anniversary of GGST!
To commemorate GGST reaching its 5th anniversary since release, Shoichi Kitazono (@kitazonoshoichi), a 2D artist from the Guilty Gear development team, released a brand-new illustration!
The ROCK-themed piece features Sol, Ky, and Happy Chaos, who symbolize GGST, standing side by side.
As these three characters frequently appear in the tournament scene, they will likely continue to make a huge impact in the future.

Official Program GG Series 28th Anniversary x GGST 5th Anniversary Special Program Confirmed for Release!
Arc System Works confirmed the release of the official program GG Series 28th Anniversary x GGST 5th Anniversary Special Program(ギルティギアシリーズ 28周年 & GGST 5周年 記念スペシャル！) on the "arcsystemworks" Official YouTube channel on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 7:00 PM!
The broadcast features a two-part structure: a first half looking back at the 28-year history of the series with the Guilty Gear development team, including Daisuke Ishiwatari, and a second half discussing the appeal of GGST with special guests, including Tyurara.
Instead of a live broadcast, the team will release the program in a pre-recorded format.
