GLOE, which plans and operates events and tournaments related to games and esports, announced that it had officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Hawk Gaming Group, which is headquartered in Saudi Arabia.
Hawk Gaming Group is leading the gaming and esports industry in Saudi Arabia, providing innovative solutions in the gaming, esports, and entertainment sectors.
In recent years, Saudi Arabia has been strongly advancing the development of its gaming, esports, and entertainment industries as a national strategy, actively investing in these sectors.
In addition to the first Olympic Esports Games being held in Riyadh in 2027, plans are underway to establish the world's first dedicated gaming and esports district in Qiddiya City, indicating rapid development and significant excitement in the region.
The esports sector is predicted to contribute $13.3 billion to the gross domestic product (GDP) and create approximately 39,000 jobs by 2030, and the value of Saudi Arabia's gaming and esports industry is expected to further increase.
By signing this agreement, which forms a partnership between Hawk Gaming Group (based in Saudi Arabia with this background and contributing to its national strategy) and GLOE in Japan, it is expected that the intellectual property, human capital, and business opportunities each country possesses will be effectively combined.
