Honkai: Nexus Anima is a brand-new title in HoYoverse's Honkai series, taking the form of an Anima-raising adventure strategy game. The story begins when the Nexus—an entity that connects opposing Aspect concepts—shatters due to the Honkai, transforming into unique creatures known as Nexus Anima. By forming a Nexus Link with an Anima, players wield the power of Aspects. Beyond combat and exploration, players will connect deeply with their Anima companions while uncovering the truth behind their own past.
In this Evolution Test, players step into the shoes of a Planestrider who has escaped confinement, embarking on a new adventure in "Iia," located within the real Plane. Anima evolution is one of the most mysterious phenomena across each Plane. With the Anima you encounter along your journey, you can establish a Nexus Link, take special photos, and give them unique names. On lucky days, players might even be able to form a Nexus Link with shiny Anima variations.
The full layout of Iia, the starting point of the journey, will be revealed for the first time in this test. Players can explore bustling new downtown streets and unique commercial districts, as well as visit iconic locations like the Nexus Hall and the True Nexus Syndicate building to meet key characters from various factions. As the journey progresses, players will also cross paths with new allies, including Nanafey, BAi Mei, and Olympia.

The Evolution Test is a non-monetized, data-wiping closed test. Test access will be distributed via a lottery system to selected applicants who complete pre-registration and the questionnaire. The test kicks off on Thursday, July 9, 2026, and will be playable on PC, Android, and iOS. The specific test schedule is expected to be announced at a later date. The latest updates will be shared on the Honkai: Nexus Anima official website, official X (@HonkaiNA), and other platforms.
