Nintendo has announced changes to the manufacturer's suggested retail prices of Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch systems in Japan, as well as the service pricing for Nintendo Switch Online.
The pricing for hardware will change starting Monday, May 25, 2026, and Nintendo Switch Online pricing will change starting Wednesday, July 1, 2026.
In the United States, only the Nintendo Switch 2 system will change from $449.99 to $499.99 starting September 1, 2026.

Nintendo has announced changes to the manufacturer's suggested retail prices of Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch systems in Japan, as well as the service pricing for Nintendo Switch Online.
According to the company, this decision comes after reviewing future global business viability in response to various changes in the market environment.
The Nintendo Switch 2 Japanese/Domestic Only model will see a price increase of 10,000 yen.
The individual plan for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack will increase by 1,000 yen.
Note that the price of the Nintendo Switch 2 Multilingual Support model sold at My Nintendo Store will remain unchanged.
The prices for Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch systems will change starting Monday, May 25, 2026, and Nintendo Switch Online prices will change starting Wednesday, July 1, 2026.

Additionally, due to rising costs including the soaring prices of parts and materials, the manufacturer's suggested retail prices of playing cards, Hanafuda, and Kabufuda will also be changed.
