SEGA Corporation has released a story trailer for Part 1 (Ogura Arc ) of " STRANGER THAN HEAVEN," scheduled for release on Friday, January 15, 2027.
This video is the first installment of a series of trailers introducing the life of the protagonist, Shin Daito, set across five eras and five cities spanning from 1915 to 1965.

The story trailer for Part 1: Kokura of "STRANGER THAN HEAVEN" has been released!

Daito has finally set foot on the soil of his other “hometown,” Japan.
It was Kokura, Fukuoka—a city home to one of the world’s leading steel mills.
Prosperous from steel production, the city was brimming with vitality, but
what awaited Daito there was discrimination and persecution no different from what he had faced in America.
However, he also encountered people in this city who reached out to him and welcomed him.
Daito’s first steps in Japan begin right here.

The “Kokura Arc” depicts how Shin Daito (played by Yu Shirota ( @U_and_YOU )), who had suffered persecution in the United States, ended up sneaking aboard the trading merchant Orpheus’s “ghost ship” and setting his sights on Japan.
It also depicts his encounter with Yu Makise (played by Dean Fujioka ( @DeanFujioka )), who had also stowed away on the ship and would later become his best friend.

New scenes featuring Orpheus (Snoop Dogg ( @SnoopDogg )) and Heigo Yashima (Akio Otsuka ( @AkioOtsuka )) have also been released.

And in Kokura, where they finally arrive after a long voyage, a harsh reality awaits the two of them.
You’ll also see Daito laying the groundwork for his survival in Japan—from his encounters with people whose lives intersect with his to the events that led him to become a showman.
