SNK's fighting game "FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves " (hereafter "FATAL FURY: CotW") will celebrate its first anniversary onFriday, April 24, 2026. To celebrate, a new DLC character "Wolfgang Krauser" has been released, a major game update has been implemented, and a new trailer has been released.

A special program to commemorate the first anniversary of "FATAL FURY: CotW" was broadcasted to announce details of the major update, the first anniversary video, and other latest information.

Ver. 2.0.1 ", the biggest update since its release, is now available. It includes new modes, new DLC characters, and many other additions.

Wolfgang Krauser joins the game!

Wolfgang Krauser, the Dark Lord, has been added as a playable character. For more information on Krauser, please refer to our previous article on him as well as the character trailer.

A special animation trailer was also released to commemorate the first anniversary of FATAL FURY FURY: CotW and Krauser's entry into the game. Directed by world-renowned animator Masami Ohari(@G1_BARI ). Set in Southtown, the film depicts Terry Bogart, Andy Bogart, and Joe Higashi taking on the "Emperor" Wolfgang Krauser.

New mode "WOLVES' DESTINY"

The first main story mode in the FATAL FURY series, " WOLVES' DESTINY " has been added. The story is centered on the battle between the returning Emperor Krauser and the Second South's Emperor Cain, and is an important story that brings the conviction of the Legend of FATAL FURY to life .

To commemorate the addition of "WOLVES' DESTINY," a new arrangement of costumes for the playable character Cain is also available. This new costume is inspired by Cain's noble ambitions and his dark skills. It also includes a hair arrangement and is color-editable.

Ring Out Battle added.

The " Ring Out Battle " from the previous "Real Bout FATAL FURYOU DENSETSU" has been revived. Ring Out Battle" is a special rule battle that can be played only on the exclusive "SECOND SOUTH CENTRAL" stage. If you can blow your opponent out of the ring, you can enjoy a heated battle with a gimmick that results in a "Ring Out K.O." victory regardless of your strength.

In addition, a strong version of the special move can be used in the Smart Style, an operation style for beginners. New moves and combos are now possible, making the game even more strategic.

Design Update

With the release of Ver 2.0.1, the screen UI design has been completely redesigned. The flow line has been reorganized, enabling smooth access to the desired items. Some functions have also been adjusted.

The Legend of the Fatal Wolf: CotW music subscriptions are now available!

The music of "FATAL FURY: CotW" will be distributed through various subscription services. A total of 97 songs, including the theme song "Chain Reaction," will be available in June 2026.
