"Tekken 8" Season 3, Character 3: "Roger Jr." Gameplay Trailer Released! Early Access Starts November 12

Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. unveiled a gameplay trailer for " Roger Jr., " the third additional playable character in Season 3 of " Tekken 8," at EVO France.
The company also unveiled the in-game model for " Yujiro Hanma," the fourth additional playable character, for the first time.
The gameplay trailer will be released on Sunday, January 17, 2027.

Roger Jr., a second-generation kangaroo created as a military animal, was living peacefully with his family of three.
However, one day, Dad’s affair was exposed, and an enraged Mom unleashed a devastating uppercut.
Dad was sent flying and landed right in the middle of Company G’s top-secret research facility, where his frantic escape caused a massive explosion.
Enraged, Company G released a wanted poster featuring a cute caricature of a “glove-wearing kangaroo” and offered a hefty reward.
Mistaken for the culprits, Jr. and Mom began to be attacked day after day, until they eventually learned that Dad was the cause of the commotion.
“Can’t we help him? It seems like Mom’s uppercut is to blame…”
Pressured by Jr.’s words—and determined to protect “their peaceful life” at all costs—Mom reluctantly agreed to cooperate.
To resolve the situation at its root, the two decided that the quickest solution would be to take down the head of Company G, and so they set out on their journey.

In “Tekken 8,” “Roger Jr., ” the child of “Roger”—a genetically modified kangaroo used as a military animal—joins the fray from inside Mom’s pocket.

Roger Jr. is making his return for the first time in over 10 years, since “Tekken Tag Tournament 2.”

It’s a key element of your gameplay strategy, allowing you to take control while engaging in mind games.

When you land a specific move on your opponent, they’ll be sent soaring high into the air, allowing you to unleash a powerful attack.
With moves that let you maintain an advantage even if blocked, Heat-activating moves, and unbreakable throws to choose from, you can instantly assess the situation and turn the tide in your favor.
Although this playstyle has the weakness of only being able to transition from big moves, once you make the transition, it offers powerful options that let you force your opponent into a game of mind games— a true game-changing stance.

You can transition from moves that are only available during Heat mode.
Use the unblockable high attack and the mid attack—which can lead into an aerial combo on hit—to outmaneuver your opponent and secure victory.

While you can execute a smooth sequence—transitioning from a stance change to Bobbin Dance and then into a mind game—this move has a clear weakness: it consumes a large amount of Heat Gauge. Therefore, the key to success lies in mastering the psychological battle.

"Yujiro Hanma" in-game model revealed! Trailer to be released in January 2027

At the end of the trailer, the in-game model for " Yujiro Hanma "—the fourth and final playable character for Season 3, scheduled for release in early 2027—was revealed.<n
Excitement is building for the awe-inspiring appearance of the "Strongest Creature on Earth," which recreates a scene from the original "Baki" series!

Furthermore, it has been announced that a gameplay trailer for "Yujiro Hanma" will be released on Sunday, January 17, 2027—the final day of the "TEKKEN WORLD TOUR 2026 Global Finals" to be held in Singapore!
