Part of their OMEN series gaming lineup, Hewlett Packard (HP) has just announced a new laptop that sports a subdisplay, essentially giving the device two screens.
The Subdisplay is definitely where it's at
The HP OMEN X 2S sports a great 15.6 inch display.
This main display is an IPS LCD, but also comes with a 5.98 inch HD LCD display above the keyboard.
The subdisplay supports multitouch, and in addition to that, the subdisplay supports "relitime screen mirroring", allowing a portion of the main screen to be displayed on the subdisplay.
The entire main display can be used as a game screen with the subdisplay being used to display chat, or a map on the main display could even be enlarged and displayed on the subdisplay using the real-time screen mirroring function.
The subdisplay also allows for checking settings and PC status with the OMEN Command Center, which can be operated with the subdisplay.
Three Main Display Options Available
The 15.6 inch main display comes in two options - one being a 144hz Full HD IPS LCD screen, and 60Hz 4K IPS LCD - allowing you to choose the most suitable display type according to the types of games you play. There's also expected to be a 240Hz Full HD model with NVIDIA G-SYNC available in July.

From Thermal Grizzly, the OMEN X 2S uses a liquid metal called Conductonaut in between the heat sink and hardware, which is known for having 10 times more thermal conductivity than tradition silicone based greases.
When compared to the OMEN X, Apex Legends played with 28% higher frame rate, and Blender benchmarked at 8.5% faster on the OMEN X S2.
Sound is from Danish company Bang & Olufsen and includes DTS:X Ultra, immersing the user in beautiful sound.
The keyboard includes RGB lighting, and the user can access the OMEN Command Center quite easily from the subdisplay.
Specs
The computer comes with Windows 10 Home and the CPU is upgradable to an 8core/16thread Intel Core i9-9880H(2.3GHz) processor with a GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q/2080 Max-Q GPU, and memory upgradable to two 32GB DDR4-3200.
As for storage, there are several options available, but the laptop also allows for the storage to be retrofitted from the bottom panel.

Release Date and Price
The OMEN X 2S is set to be released in the USA in June with a starting price of $2,099.99. Release dates for Japan have not yet been annoucned.
