Digimon Story Time Stranger, a Monster-Raising RPG, Releases! The First All-New Title in the Series in Nearly 10 Years

Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. released Digimon Story Time Stranger, the latest title in the series for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, on Thursday, October 2, 2025. To commemorate the release, a launch trailer was released, and a campaign offering luxurious prizes, such as illustration boards autographed by the cast, has also begun. Additionally, the release of a short animated film that serves as a prequel to this title, Digimon Story Time Stranger Prelude, has also been announced.

Digimon Story Time Stranger, the Latest Title, is Out on October 2!

The story begins in Tokyo, Japan. The protagonist is an agent of ADAMAS, a secret organization that specializes in investigating and solving anomalous phenomena.

In the course of their investigation, they encounter an unknown creature called a “Digimon” in Shinjuku, an area sealed off by the government and are caught up in a mysterious explosion.

They then reawaken eight years in the past…
The protagonist then pursues the mystery of the impending world's collapse, while searching for a way to stop it.

The latest title in the Digimon Story series, Digimon Story Time Stranger, was released on Thursday, October 2, 2025. It's available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and the Steam version is scheduled for release on Friday, October 3, 2025.
