The CAPCOM Pro Tour 2023 Online Premier US & Canada - Midwest tournament took place on January 21 (Sun) and 22 (Mon), 2024.

These eight players reached the Top 8 of the CAPCOM Pro Tour 2023 Online Premier US & Canada - Midwest tournament and engaged in intense battles for the championship title.

Sayff vs. JOE UMEROGAN

The Grand Final featured a matchup between Sayff (@thesayff), who advanced from the Winners bracket, and JOE UMEROGAN (@umerogan), who fought his way up from the Losers bracket.
Sayff chose Ken, while JOE UMEROGAN selected Luke.

In the first match, both players cautiously gauged each other's movements while utilizing Hadoken and Sand Blast to set up their attacks.
The game reached the final round tied at 1-1, and as the round began, Sayff's Ken landed a combo starting with Chin Buster into Tatsumaki Senpukyaku to deal damage.
He gradually whittled down Luke's health with throw and knee strikes. Despite taking some damage, Sayff ultimately defeated Luke with the Shinryu Reppa to secure the first win.

In the second match, Sayff kept up the pressure from the start with his Chin Buster into Tatsumaki Senpukyaku combo and throw attacks.
Sayff won the first round with over 90% of his health bar remaining, but in the second round, JOE UMEROGAN identified the timing of the attacks to bring the match to 1-1.

In the final round, Sayff connected a combo into the Shinryu Reppa, significantly depleting Luke's health. Maintaining that momentum, Sayff pushed through to earn his second victory.

With a 2-0 lead, Sayff needed just one more win to take the championship.
Early in the first round, he took heavy damage from JOE UMEROGAN's Luke, but managed to stage a comeback to win the round.

In the following second round, Sayff connected a combo and unleashed the Shinryu Reppa, reducing Luke's health to about 50% within five seconds. However, JOE UMEROGAN struck back with a relentless flurry of combos to bring the round to 1-1.
The final round was a back-and-forth struggle, but Sayff pushed through to claim victory.
With a 3-0 score, Sayff was crowned the champion!
