The Executive Committee of the National Prefectural eSports Championship released the latest information on the "WataSHIGA Kagayaku National Sports Festival and Sports Festival for People with Disabilities (The 79th National Sports Festival and the 24th National Sports Festival for People with Disabilities)."
It has been decided that a "Tekken 8" exhibition match will be held at the "National Prefectural Competitive Esports Championship 2025 SHIGA," which will take place on Saturday, November 22, and Sunday, November 23, 2025, as a cultural program.

The "National Prefectural eSports Championship" is a national eSports tournament celebrating its seventh year in 2025.
Since its first holding, it has been held in the same location as the Japan Games.
Even when the Japan Games were canceled or postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, online events were held, leveraging the non-face-to-face nature of eSports.

The competitive titles for 2025 are "eFootball," "Puzzle & Dragons," and "Puyo Puyo Champions."
Many block tournaments have concluded, and the players who will participate in the main tournament have been decided.

Furthermore, "Gran Turismo 7" and "Tekken 8" have been selected as titles for the exhibition matches.

In "eFootball," a tournament among prefectural representatives was held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, and 10 players who will participate in the main tournament have been decided.
