Mercari, Inc. announced that it will hold the Pokémon Card Game tournament Mercari TCG Cup on Sunday, June 9, 2024.
This is a new type of tournament where viewers can purchase the cards used by players directly on Mercari.

Planned against the backdrop of the growth of the card game and trading card market in recent years, this tournament is being held in response to the current situation where the number of tournaments is small compared to the scale of trading card transactions.
The maximum number of entries is 512 people.
The Round of 32, 16, 8, 4, and the final match featuring the top 32 players are scheduled to be streamed live on the "Mercari Group Official" YouTube channel.
During the live stream, it is also possible to purchase the trading cards used by players on Mercari.
On the day of the event, Shohei Shibata will serve as the commentator, Hajime Syacho will be welcomed as a commentary guest, and Miyashishi, a 4th, 5th, and 6th generation Pokémon Card Elite Four member, will also participate as an invited player.
The entry period is from Tuesday, May 7, 2024, to Sunday, May 19, 2024, at 11:59 PM.
The results of the lottery will be announced on Monday, May 27, 2024.
Furthermore, some of the management staff for the day of the Mercari TCG Cup will be recruited through the spare-time work app "Mercari Hallo."
