"Para-esports Festa 2025 ~Let's Play with Inclusive Tech!~" to be held on August 6!

The "Para-esports Festa," primarily for children with physical disabilities, will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2025. This event focuses on the potential for technology to expand the world of children with physical disabilities. It was first held in 2024 by certified NPO Florence and Technotools Corporation, and it received the Gold Award in the "Student, NPO, Various Organizations, and Individual Division" of the "JACE Event Award." GLOE Inc. will be in charge of the planning and production of this event.
Last year, participants responded enthusiastically, saying that they were able to enjoy games for the first time by using inclusive technology tailored to their physical condition. However, some also voiced concerns about the hurdles of continuous use at home. This year, in response to this feedback, the event will offer opportunities to play games using smartphones and tablets, and will also strengthen expert consultation support on the day of the event and afterward, making it an event that encourages the first step toward home adoption!
Features of "Para-esports Festa 2025"
You can find where to start from! A curated selection of devices gathered here!

Families with children with disabilities who need assistive devices to enjoy games often encounter obstacles such as "Which device is suitable?" or "How do I get started?". In addition, there are still few places to find assistive devices, and families often don't have enough time to gather information due to daily life and care responsibilities. To solve these problems, this event will offer a wide variety of input devices, controllers, games, and toys handled by Technotools, allowing participants to find the assistive device that suits them from many options.
Experience games and toys playable on iPad and iPhone to encourage home adoption

In response to the frequent feedback from last year's participants about the difficulty of home adoption, this year, games and toys playable on smartphones and tablets will be provided! Since you can start with what you have at home before purchasing expensive assistive devices, the hurdle for home adoption seems to be significantly lowered.
Experts provide thorough support for each family on the day and after the event

For the effective use of technology, it is crucial to "assess" and propose devices that suit the child's physical condition and the activities they want to engage in. On the day of the event, occupational therapists and students studying occupational therapy will propose suitable devices and ways to play for each family. Even after the event, to ensure daily enjoyment of games, Technotools' specialized staff will visit the homes of families who request it, providing proposals and adoption support for devices and settings tailored to each individual's physical condition and living environment. Furthermore, Eiichi Tanaka and Daisaku Kobayashi, leading figures in esports and assistive technology utilization, will also participate in the event, making it an event that supports children's "I want to try" and "I can do it" experiences.
Esports experience using Puyo Puyo esports and more

At this event, you can experience esports using games like Puyo Puyo esports and Suika Game, as well as various technologies, from familiar ones to the most advanced. This event will bring excitement and joy to children and families who feel a high hurdle to playing games.
