While eating and sleeping are obvious examples, moderate exercise is actually considered a form of recovery as well.
The Pokémon Company is currently holding the Pokémon Kaifuku Days event, where you can experience "walking, sleeping, and recovering with Pokémon," from Friday, February 16, to Sunday, February 18, 2024, at KITTE Marunouchi in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.
This time, we will bring you a report on the Pokémon Kaifuku Days hands-on event held prior to the grand opening.
Pokémon Kaifuku Days Event
Released in July 2016, Pokémon GO drove people outdoors, and Pokémon Sleep, released in July 2023, saved modern people from lack of sleep.
Pokémon, which has enriched our daily lives, is now holding the Pokémon Kaifuku Days hands-on event with the goal of promoting recovery through walking and sleeping.
From Friday, February 16, to Sunday, February 18, 2024, various contents are being deployed at the KITTE Marunouchi 1F Atrium in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.
Poké Ball-Shaped Recovery Device
The large Poké Ball installed in the atrium is a recovery device!
Inside, a space expands that makes you feel like you might doze off unintentionally.
Video, sound, and scent support everyone's recovery.
Resting or sleeping to recover in this way is called passive rest.
A numbered ticket distributed on the day is required for participation.

Stretch Photo Spot
Photo spots where you can take pictures with Pokémon also appear at the event venue.
If you take a photo while posing with Pikachu or Flamigo, it becomes a stretch!
Recovering through light exercise or stretching in this way is called active rest.

Official routes around Marunouchi have appeared in Pokémon GO!

Pokémon Kaifuku Days Hands-on Event
At the Pokémon Kaifuku Days hands-on event held prior to the start of the main event, comedian Tonikaku Akarui Yasumura, actor Keita Machida, and free climber Akiyo Noguchi appeared on stage.
Each shared how they spend their days off and revealed how they usually recover.
Keita Machida mentioned that after eating breakfast, he does training in the morning, spends the afternoon watching videos or preparing for shoots, and after dinner, he has free time decided by his mood at that moment.
Akiyo Noguchi said she considers her days off as days she doesn't climb, but she is very busy taking care of her child.
She revealed that when putting her child to sleep, doing deep squats helps them sleep well, and she sometimes does hundreds of squats.
An active rest experience was also conducted under the guidance of physical therapist and stretching YouTuber Ogatore (@ogaryu___).
