Yokosuka City announced that the 6th "YOKOSUKA e-Sports CUP," an esports tournament for high school students nationwide in Japan, will hold its qualifiers on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, and the final tournament on Wednesday, August 20.
Entries are being accepted from Tuesday, May 20, 2025, to Friday, July 11!

The 6th "YOKOSUKA e-Sports CUP," an esports tournament for high school students nationwide in Japan, will be held.
"VALORANT" has been selected as the competition title, continuing from previous tournaments!

For the "YOKOSUKA e-Sports CUP," the qualifiers will be held online on Tuesday, August 5, 2025.
The four teams that win the qualifiers and advance to the final tournament will be invited to Yokosuka City!
They will compete in the final tournament held offline on Wednesday, August 20, 2025.

Furthermore, Taiga Kishi (@StanSmith_jp), who has been active as a game caster since 2014, has been appointed as the tournament ambassador!
This tournament is sure to be exciting.

Entries for the 6th "YOKOSUKA e-Sports CUP" are being accepted from Tuesday, May 20, 2025, to Friday, July 11.
The qualifiers will be held online, and high school students residing in Japan can participate, so why not give it a try?

In addition to the "YOKOSUKA e-Sports CUP," Yokosuka City is also undertaking the following esports initiatives to promote and develop esports and create new value:
- Esports Club Establishment Support: High-performance PCs are currently lent for free to 10 out of 14 high schools in Yokosuka City
- Esports Club Environment Improvement Support: Education and network facility subsidies
- Attracting Professional Esports Teams: Efforts to relocate using idle facilities
- Implementation of International Exchange Events: Esports exchange between high schools in the city and high schools on US Navy bases
- Implementation of Esports Tournaments for Hikikomori (reclusive adolescents or adults who withdraw from social life): Exchange with high school students in the city
- Holding PC Assembly Classes for High School Students: Digital talent development
