Exclusive interview with Kaji, the winner of the Vampire Savior division!
- How long have you been playing Vampire Savior?
Kaji: I have been playing since 1997, when the game was first launched, so 29 years (laughs).
- (laughs) I heard that you have returned to the game after an 8-year absence.
Kaji: When I came back, the players around me had become very strong. At first I couldn't win at all, and I felt like I was going blank, but as I continued to play, I was inspired by my surroundings, and I was able to play at a high level, so I had a lot of fun until the tournament.
- What did you think when it was announced that "Vampire Savior" would be the main title?
Kaji: I was really surprised. I thought I would only have this opportunity once in my life, and I am very glad that I took the plunge and decided to participate.
- The audience was very excited and cheered both on the site and on the live streaming.
Kaji: I didn't really hear the cheers...I was just trying my best (laughs). My original reason for participating in EVO Japan was to let people know how fun it is to play Saber, so I'm really happy if I was able to convey that to people.
- Lastly, please tell us about the appeal of "Vampire Savior" and your enthusiasm for EVO Las Vegas.
Kaji: I think the charm of the savage is that any character can become the strongest if you pursue what you think is the strongest style. I had a great view from the stage this time, so I would like to do my best so that I can see the same view at the EVO in the U.S. Thank you very much!
