The "Shadowverse WB x GBVSR Joint Corporate Tournament," hosted by Cygames, Inc. on Friday, July 4, 2025, was a huge success as we previously reported. We were actually able to interview Doro Ningyo, the winner of the "Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond" (hereinafter "Shadowverse: WB") General Corporate Division, at the social gathering!
Interview with Doro Ningyo, Winner of the "Shadowverse: WB" General Corporate Division!

(The blockquotes below are translated from Japanese.)
― Congratulations on your victory!
Doro Ningyo: Thank you!
― Could you please introduce yourself again?
Doro Ningyo: My name is Doro Ningyo from Ipros Inc.
― Please tell us about the deck you used.
Doro Ningyo: I used Portalcraft just once, but other than that, it was all Forestcraft.

- May, Journey Elf x3
- Good Fairy of the Pond x3
- Bug Alert x3
- Fairy Convocation x3
- Fairy Tamer x3
- Stray Beastman x1
- Baby Carbuncle x3
- Lily, Crystalian Innocence x3
- Lambent Cairn x3
- Killer Rhinoceroach x3
- Godwood Staff x3
- Glade, Fragrantwood Ward x3
- Olivia, Heroic Dark Angel x2
- Aerin, Crystalian Frostward x1
- Bayle, Luxglaive Warrior x3
― So you used Portalcraft once.
Doro Ningyo: There's no deep meaning to it (laughs).
In the second or third match where I was using Forestcraft, I felt like things weren't going well, so I tried Portalcraft to change the flow.

― Stepping away from the game for a moment, what kind of work do you usually do?
Doro Ningyo: As a company, we operate a B2B matching platform that connects businesses.
However, I personally handle the company's finances and other numbers, as I work in accounting.
― So your work experience is being utilized in Rhino Deck calculations (*the deck Doro Ningyo uses requires a lot of calculations in "Shadowverse: WB")?!
Doro Ningyo: I wasn't aware of it, but maybe so (laughs).
Of course, there are Rhino Deck calculations, and card games are games of probability, so I think I'm really drawn to their depth.

― Please tell us what prompted you to participate in this event.
Doro Ningyo: I first saw information about the corporate tournament in an announcement regarding "Shadowverse: WB."
I didn't have a clear idea of what a corporate tournament would be like, but with the excitement surrounding the release of "Shadowverse: WB," I was looking forward to interacting with various people offline, so I decided to participate.
― Have you participated in other game tournaments?
Doro Ningyo: I participated in tournaments like RAGE and those held at card shops back when the previous "Shadowverse" was out.
Basically, my gaming life has been all about "Shadowverse" (laughs).

― So you don't play many other games.
Doro Ningyo: I play casually sometimes, but when it comes to highly competitive titles, it's just "Shadowverse."
― When did you start playing the previous "Shadowverse"?
Doro Ningyo: I've been playing since its initial release.
Although I took breaks due to real-life circumstances, I never completely quit and have continued playing until now.

― You're a super veteran player!
Doro Ningyo: I was a student back then, but I started because of my older brother who loved card games, and I just got hooked.
I found the appeal in being able to enjoy it anytime, anywhere, with just one smartphone.
― Do you play during your commute now as well?
Doro Ningyo: Exactly (laughs).
I play while being jostled on crowded trains, and if I'm lucky enough to get a seat, I'll be completely engrossed the whole time.

― It must be quite challenging to play on the train with arrivals and transfers.
Doro Ningyo: It really is!
For example, if I only have 10 minutes left and I'm not sure if a match will finish, I try not to queue up for a game.
― I might do it...
Doro Ningyo: That's because I really love Shadowverse.
I don't want to end up walking and playing on my phone, and if I accidentally bump into someone and negative rumors about Shadowverse spread on social media, I'd hate that.

― That's wonderful! Your victory comment earlier, too—you're a model player.
Doro Ningyo: Thank you (laughs).
I truly love Shadowverse, and I think everyone here loves it too, so it was a lot of fun to be with all of them.
― What is the appeal of "Shadowverse: WB" that you, Doro Ningyo, would like to convey to players who have never played Shadowverse before?
Doro Ningyo: I think many people might feel it's difficult to start a new game because "Shadowverse" has been around for 9 years.
However, in "Shadowverse: WB," there's a feature where AI provides advice to help beginners play, and Cygames, as well as ambassadors and professional players, are actively sharing information both inside and outside the game.
There's absolutely no problem starting now!
And the story in Shadowverse is truly engaging.
I think you can enjoy it as if you're playing an RPG, and of course, player-versus-player battles are also fun. Plus, a new place for players to interact, "Shadowverse Park," has been created.
It's a fun game for anyone to start anytime, so please give "Shadowverse: WB" a try!

― As expected, such great commentary! Congratulations again!
Doro Ningyo: Thank you very much!
