The Japan eSports Union (JeSU) announced that the winner of the Street Fighter 6 tournament held at ASIA eSports EXPO 2026 will be recommended as a candidate for the Japanese national team in the eSports Fighting Game Team event at the 20th Asian Games.
Overview of the Tournament to Be Held at ASIA Esports EXPO 2026
ASIA eSports EXPO 2026 is a comprehensive event held to promote the development of eSports by establishing Aichi and Nagoya as international hubs for the industry.
The winner of the Street Fighter 6 tournament held there will be recommended to JeSU as a candidate for the Japanese national team in the eSports Fighting Game Team event at the 20th Asian Games.
ASIA eSports EXPO 2026 is scheduled to be held over two days from Saturday, March 21 to Sunday, March 22, 2026.

Selection Criteria for Players Advancing to ASIA Esports EXPO
The winner of this tournament will be recommended to JeSU as a Japanese representative candidate in the eSports Fighting Game Team event.
The four players eligible to advance to ASIA eSports EXPO are scheduled to be selected from those who achieved excellent results in the following tournament groups:
CAPCOM Pro Tour 2025 World Warrior Japan #1–#5
- Period: Sunday, September 7, 2025, to Sunday, January 11, 2026 (held online, 5 times in total)
- Selection Method: 1 player from the top-ranking players based on total points earned across all 5 tournaments
CAPCOM Pro Tour 2025 Premier Tournament Kuaishou FightClub Championship VI · Chengdu
- Period: Friday, October 31 to Sunday, November 2, 2025 (Location: Chengdu, China)
- Selection Method: 1 player from the top-performing players in the tournament
CAPCOM CUP 12
- Period: Wednesday, March 11 to Sunday, March 15, 2026 (Location: Ryogoku Kokugikan, Japan)
- Selection Method: 2 players from the top-performing players in the tournament
