Epic Games announced that the PvE mode "Fortnite : Save the World " will become free-to-play on April 16, 2026 (Thursday). Pre-registration is now open for PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Cloud, and Nintendo Switch 2. Register early to receive in-game rewards, including a "Save the World" hero at launch!
Rewards will be distributed to existing players and new purchases will be temporarily suspended.
As a thank you to existing players who have saved the world over the past nine years, we will be giving away Superchargers, vouchers and gold on Thursday, April 16, 2026 (US time).
