COGNOSPHERE PTE. LTD. announced that the major update Ver. 5.0 Flowers Resplendent on the Sun-Scorched Sojourn for the open-world RPG Genshin Impact will be released on Wednesday, August 28, 2024. Details about Natlan, the sixth nation in Teyvat to be unlocked in Ver. 5.0, as well as new characters such as Mualani, Kinich, and Kachina, were also announced. Additionally, various other details were revealed as the 4th anniversary approaches.
The New Region Natlan Will Be Unlocked in the Ver. 5.0 Update!
PR TIMESThe major update Ver. 5.0 Flowers Resplendent on the Sun-Scorched Sojourn will be released on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, finally unlocking the new region Natlan. Located to the west of the Sumeru desert area, Natlan is called the "Nation of Pyro" and is composed of six tribes.
The Dragons of Natlan are called Saurian, and having evolved over a long period of time, they live together with humans as reliable companions. In Ver. 5.0, you will first visit three tribes and be able to meet three types of Saurians, each living with a respective tribe. Additionally, by clearing the Archon Quest in Mondstadt, the Waypoint to Natlan will be unlocked, making it easy for even new players to visit.
To explore Natlan while traversing cliffs and water surfaces, you will need to understand and borrow the power of Natlan's Saurians. Three types will appear in Ver. 5.0, as follows:
- Tepetlisaurus
- Yumkasaurus
- Koholasaurus
The Tepetlisaurus can dive underground and climb cliffs, and is a reliable companion of the tribe living in the canyon, the "Children of Echoes". The Yumkasaurus can move quickly through the air and easily reach high places. It is found among the Scions of the Canopy, who live on steep cliffs. The Koholasaurus can move quickly not only on the water's surface but also on flowing Phlogiston, and is associated with the People of the Flowing Spring, who live by the sea.
PR TIMESIn Natlan, known as the nation of war, brave individuals are celebrated, and the strongest warrior from each tribe is chosen through contests held at the Stadium of the Sacred Flame. The main story will begin here, and you will proceed to the arena alongside Kachina, Kinich, and Mualani. The Natlan Archon Quest will be unlocked by reaching Adventure Rank 28 or higher and completing all Archon Quests in Liyue. We're really looking forward to seeing what will happen in the sixth nation!
New Playable Characters to Meet in Natlan
In Ver. 5.0, the first Natlan characters, Mualani, Kinich, and Kachina, will appear. Natlan's characters are characterized by their skilled prowess and agility, and they each symbolize the lifestyle and traditions of their respective tribes.

While in this state, Mualani applies "Marked as Prey" to opponents upon coming into contact with them and gains Wave Momentum. In this state, Mualani's Normal Attacks will be converted to Sharky's Bites, and consumes Wave Momentum to increase the DMG dealt by Sharky's Bites. When she has 3 stacks of Wave Momentum, when Sharky's Bite hits an opponent, she will fire Shark Missiles at nearby opponents Marked as Prey.

◆ Kinich can swing in mid-air using a grappling hook. When the grappling hook hits an enemy, it attaches to enemies and Kinich will fire Loop Shots. When Nightsoul points are at max, he can use the Elemental Skill to fire a powerful "Scalespiker Cannon" and deal Dendro DMG to enemies.

Kachina can be invited for free upon clearing the Natlan Archon Quest Chapter V: Act I.
In addition to helping locate Natlan's Local Specialties, the respective Talents of Mualani, Kinich, and Kachina activate beneficial effects—such as restoring the entire party's Stamina, restoring Phlogiston, or increasing movement speed—upon gathering certain collectible items. However, to make the most of the skills and abilities of Natlan's warriors and Saurians, it is necessary to consume or utilize Phlogiston in various forms. Through a mysterious ritual called Phlogiston Engravings, they receive the blessing of the Night Soul, and the power of Natlan's warriors is further enhanced.

In the first half of the Ver. 5.0 Event Wishes, the newly appearing Mualani and Kachina will be featured, alongside the rerun of Kaedehara Kazuha. The second half will feature the newly appearing Kinich and the rerun of Raiden Shogun.
