"Monster Hunter Wilds" Patch "Ver.1.000.05.00" Addressing Gravios Flinching Bug and More, Coming After March 10

News

Capcom Co., Ltd.'s hunting action game "Monster Hunter Wilds" announced the scheduled distribution of the patch "Ver.1.000.05.00" on or after Monday, March 10, 2025.
It targets all platforms, and the fixes cover 13 items.

Patch "Ver.1.000.05.00"

  • [Fixed] The Meal Invitation event at Azuz and Sild does not occur on some occasions.
  • [Fixed] An issue occurring when using Equipment Loadout, causing decorations to be removed from equipment, Bowgun Customization being reverted back to default, and Kinsects reverting to the initial rarity.
  • [Fixed] When cutting off monster parts, the parts change into a monster part from a different monster.
  • [Fixed] Gravios does not gain resistance to flinches after breaking its parts.
  • [Fixed] An issue which may cause crashes or some monsters to act strangely under certain situations.
  • [Fixed] Some skills are unintentionally activated under certain conditions.
  • [Fixed] Some items/rewards can be obtained repeatedly under certain conditions.
  • [Fixed] When trying to catch a fish with a capture net, the fishes nearby do not swim away from the fishing spot.
  • [Fixed] Some environmental features such as floating rubbles can be activated multiple times.
  • [Fixed] During Main Mission: Chapter 5-1 “The Root Cause,” the hunter becomes unresponsive to some controls when talking to a certain NPC.
  • [Fixed] Palico’s support move “Attract Vigorwasps” may cause the hunter to become unresponsive to some controls.
  • [Fixed] When scrolling through the quest list, only the first 20 quests are shown correctly.
  • [Fixed] An issue which may cause the game to forcefully shut down when starting a game with saved data that encountered a force quit.

The fixes cover the 13 items listed above.
The scope of the fixes is wide-ranging, from critical problems such as crashing under certain conditions, to obvious bugs such as being able to repeatedly obtain certain items, and even things that were ambiguous as to whether they were intended features or bugs, such as surrounding fish not escaping even when a Capture Net is used.

Perhaps most notably for hunters is the fix for "a bug where Gravios did not gradually become less susceptible to flinching after its parts were broken."
A strategy that had gained attention, where one could defeat Gravios by continuously attacking, mainly with a Heavy Bowgun, without giving it a chance to counterattack, seems to have been a bug caused by Gravios continuously flinching.

The patch "Ver.1.000.05.00" that fixes these bugs will be distributed for all platforms on or after Monday, March 10, 2025.

Other currently confirmed bugs are still under investigation.

  • [Under Investigation] A network error occurs when firing an SOS flare right after a quest begins.
  • [Under Investigation] Link Members are not prioritized over other players and may not appear in some places including Base Camps.
  • [Under Investigation] Palico’s attacks with blunt weapons do not inflict stun and exhaust damages.
  • [Under Investigation] Hunter Profile cannot be edited properly in some occasions.

Also, as of Friday, March 7, 2025, the four bugs listed above have been confirmed and fixes are being considered for future updates.
Players who were equipping their Palicoes with blunt weapons in anticipation of stun or exhaust effects are advised to equip them with cutting weapons for now.
Announcements regarding various bugs will be posted sequentially on the "Monster Hunter Wilds" official X (@MH_Wilds) and the Support Page.
