Considering that July 15 is a national holiday and that the "NES Talk Shop Kobayashi-Toy Store " is scheduled to close on July 10, 2024 (Wednesday ), it is likely that the second week of July will mark the end of the 40th anniversary of the NES. This means that the " NES Referendum, " which has been held almost every week since July 15, 2023 (Saturday) on a variety of themes, will only be held a few more times. We hope that the "NES Reunion Poll" will continue for many years to come, as it has been a chance to open up our memories and to learn about NES masterpieces that we never knew existed! The top 20 are now available on the Famicom 40th Anniversary Campaign website! The top 20 are now available on the Famicom 40th Anniversary Campaign website! The first place winner by a narrow margin was " Dragon Quest IV: The Fellowship of the Saved" with 8.3% of the votes cast! I also voted for it! Dragon Quest" came in second place, " Dragon Quest III: And to the Legend " in fourth place, and " Dragon Quest II: Gods of Evil Spirits " in 17th place, all numbering "Dragon Quest" titles released on the NES. All of the numbered "Dragon Quest" titles released for the Famicom (NES) were ranked in the top 10. As you know, Akira Toriyama created many of the characters in the "Dragon Quest" series, including enemies, and he has created some truly fascinating characters, including the famous "Slime". Although Mr. Akira Toriyama passed away in March of this year, we are sure that the enemy characters he created will continue to stand in the way of the adventures of many heroes and help them grow. If you have never played any of the "Dragon Quest" series, this is a great opportunity to do so! There are so many other titles on the list with fascinating enemy characters that we could go on and on about them one by one, but the most special ones are " ROCKMAN2: The Mystery of Dr. Wiley " in 5th place, " ROCKMAN " in 7th place, " ROCKMAN " in 17th place, and "ROCKMAN3: The Mystery of Dr. Wiley " in 17th place. ROCKMAN3 Dr. Wiley's Last Days! The "ROCKMAN" series ranked in at No. 17. The "ROCKMAN" series has had a boss character design contest since the second title in the series, "ROCKMAN2: The Mystery of Dr. Wiley," in which the public was invited to design a boss character to appear in the game. Some of the designs were adapted from the winning ones, while others were so perfect that they were left as they were. Famously, a design submitted by Yusuke Murata, a well-known author of "Eyeshield 21" and "One Pan Man" (the Young Jump version), was chosen for " Mega Man 4: A New Ambition! Dust Man" in "Mega Man 4: New Ambition" and "Crystal Man" in " Mega Man 5: Bruce's Trap! and "Crystal Man" in "Mega Man 5: Bruce's Trap! These two are also NES titles, so be sure to check them out!

The 49th edition is over, which means the 50th edition has begun. Voting for the 50th "NES Referendum" has started on June 27, 2024 (Thursday)! The theme of this year's poll is "What do you think of the sea/ship? The theme this time is "What do you think of the sea/ship? Although we are in the midst of the rainy season in the Kanto area, summer is just around the corner as the days continue to be warm. And with summer comes the sea! And when I think of the sea, I think of boats! This is the perfect theme for this time of year! In action games, ocean stages are a given, and in most RPGs and simulations, you can say that ships make an appearance. In RPGs, when you get a ship, the range of movement expands, so you end up going to places you shouldn't be going at that stage and are annihilated by powerful enemies, which can even be called a beauty of style. The theme is quite broad in scope , so the vote is likely to be split, but please cast a clean vote for the title that features memorable oceans and ships! Once again, you can cast your vote by logging in to your Nintendo account and going to the "NES National Vote" page on the campaign website. If you forget the title of the game, don't worry, you can enter a part of the title and a list of candidates will appear. The voting period for the 49th "NES Reunion Vote" ends at 11:59 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2024! The results will be announced on July 4, 2024 (Thursday )! I voted for " Dragon Quest III: And to the Legend...", in which you get a ship in exchange for " black pepper "! As a child, I used to think of pepper as "table pepper," and I used to think what a wonderful thing "black pepper" was! Now I love "black pepper" as much as the king of Portugal!
