"Pokémon Champions" Set for 2026 Release! Latest Video Introducing Game System Revealed

The Pokémon Company revealed new information about "Pokémon Champions," a new title currently under development for Nintendo Switch (including Switch 2), iOS, and Android, during "Pokémon Presents 2025.7.22" broadcast on Tuesday, July 22, 2025.
It was revealed that the game is scheduled for release in 2026, and information about the game system was also announced.

Game System Revealed! A New Title Specializing in Pokémon Battles

"Pokémon Champions" is a new title specializing in Pokémon battles, currently under development for Nintendo Switch, iOS, and Android.
Its appeal lies in the ability to enjoy the familiar Pokémon battles of the series, which utilize elements like types, abilities, and moves, across multiple platforms, anytime and anywhere.

The Recruitment feature, a characteristic of "Pokémon Champions," allows players to recruit Pokémon they want to use in battle and make them their allies.
There are two types of recruitment: "Trial Recruitment," which allows you to recruit Pokémon for a limited time, and "Regular Recruitment," which allows you to recruit Pokémon indefinitely using VP (Victory Points).
VP can be obtained by battling and cannot be purchased with money.

Recruited Pokémon can be easily trained by using VP in "Training."
Players can freely increase Pokémon's abilities such as Attack and Defense,"and also easily change their abilities and moves.
The training elements, which were previously a high hurdle in the Pokémon series, have become much easier in "Pokémon Champions," allowing anyone to enjoy Pokémon battles.

"Pokémon Champions" battles have two rules: "Single Battle" and "Double Battle," and can be enjoyed in three match modes.
"Ranked Battle" is a mode where your rank changes based on battle results, allowing you to battle trainers of similar skill.
"Casual Battle" is a mode where you can play without worrying about wins or losses, and "Private Battle" is a mode where you can set rules and battle with people you know.
