As COVID-19 continues to spread globally, many companies are looking to make a little progress.
Niantic is moving forward with the idea of bringing the DNA of "outdoor fun", "exploration" and "exercise" to indoor play, so that more people can experience the same excitement they feel when they go out and play indoors. Niantic has begun to move forward with this idea.
Niantic has announced that they will be making changes to "Pokémon GO" in order to create an environment where people can enjoy the real world game from the comfort of their own homes.

There are four new changes being considered
Improvement of "Anytime Adventure Mode" to reflect the number of steps taken indoors (already implemented)
The "Anytime Adventure Mode" will be improved to reflect the number of steps taken indoors, such as when cleaning at home or using the treadmill.
This feature has already been implemented, and the game will also progress when you exercise indoors.
Participation in Raid Battles from the Comfort of Your Home
On the social side, we have enhanced the ability to stay connected with friends and family even if you can't actually meet them.
A system that allows players to participate in raid battles with other players from the comfort of their own home is being considered.
Share memories of favorite places you've revisited with friends and family.
On the exploration side, we are considering a feature that would allow users to virtually visit their favorite spots and share their memories with friends and family, while thinking about the time when they will return to that spot again.
Let's have fun at home this summer! The all-new "Pokémon GO Fest".
In terms of real events, a brand new "Pokémon GO Fest" is being considered to bring the large-scale real event "Pokémon GO Fest" that has been held every summer to your home.

In 2020, Pokémon GO will introduce the "GO Battle League", in which players can participate from home.
The walking distance required to participate in the league has been changed from 3 km to 0 km, the "Okou" function has been enhanced, and improvements have been made so that players can obtain Monster Balls without having to walk very far.
The contents of gifts have also been changed, and the number of gifts possessed has been increased to allow more gifts to be exchanged.
As these efforts become more widespread, I believe it will change the way we spend time at home in the future.
Even if you can't go outside or see people, you can share the fun and connection with many people through "Pokémon GO".
More information will be coming out over the summer, so be sure to check the official Niantic website and Niantic's official Twitter feed for more information!
