The PlayStation 5 ( "PS5") is scheduled for release at the end of 2020.
Even before its release, the PS5 has been attracting attention from around the world, with the announcement of 4K/120Hz TVs and headsets that are compatible with PS5.
A global commercial video has been released to show the " overwhelmingly immersive gameplay experience" that players will be able to experience through PS5.
Breathtakingly realistic expressions provide a highly immersive experience
The global commercial video is titled " Welcome to the breathtakingly immersive world " and introduces the experience that PS5 brings to us through the every move of a woman, rather than the game play screen.
PS5's immersive elements include the haptic feedback of the DualSense wireless controller ,adaptive triggers, and the PS5's Tempest 3D audio engine. Each of these is represented in the video.
The feel of what you touch is felt in your hand.
PS5's haptic feedback from the DualSense wireless controller allows players to feel the effects and impacts of in-game actions as dynamic tactile sensations in their hands.
The current PlayStation 4's DUALSHOCK 4 controller also has a vibration function, but the DualSense Wireless Controller is said to offer a much wider range of expression, from much more powerful vibrations to subtle vibrations. The DUALSHOCK 4" has a vibration function.
Even the force transmitted to the fingertips is realistic!
Furthermore, the DualSense wireless controller changes the resistance force felt when operating buttons depending on the situation.
The physical impact of in-game actions, such as pulling the trigger to fire a gun or pulling a lever to open a door, can be felt realistically with the hand that holds the controller.
Hear sounds as if you were there
Tempest 3D audio technology allows players to experience realistic sound through headphones or TV speakers as if they were in the game world.
In addition to the realism that comes from the hands of the DualSense wireless controller, the sound coming from all directions will allow players to immerse themselves in the game even more intensely.
