People who have moved into new environments for the new fiscal year have likely made it through a hectic first week and enjoyed a long-awaited weekend.
In Japan, cherry blossoms were in full bloom this weekend, so many people seem to have gone out for cherry blossom viewing, whether at famous spots or nearby locations.
In addition to the cherry blossoms being in full bloom, Sunday in Tokyo saw warm weather exceeding 20°C, making it feel like the true arrival of spring. Since spring is coming to Japan, that means spring is also coming to Splatsville, Inkopolis Plaza, and Inkopolis Square!
It was announced that a special Splatfest Spring Fest would be held this spring in Splatoon 3, and now the event schedule and theme have been decided!

Which Fluffy Friend Will You Choose? Spring Fest Details Released!
The special Splatfest Spring Fest for Splatoon 3 is scheduled to be held from Saturday, April 20, 2024, 9:00 AM to Monday, April 22, 2024, 9:00 AM!
And the theme you’ve been waiting for is "It's Spring! Which fuzzy fluffiness do you like most? Baby Chicks vs. Lil' Bunnies vs. Bear Cubs"!
Since all of them are fluffy, soft, and cute—way too cute—it’s a truly difficult theme to choose from!
For now, let’s focus on the upcoming Spring Fest!
The Sneak Peek begins on Friday, April 12, 2024, at 5:00 PM, and voting will also start, so let’s decide which side to vote for by then!

The Cities and Idols Get a Spring Makeover!
Since Spring Fest is a special Splatfest, the cities will transform into a spring-themed look during the event!
In addition to the Splatfest Battles, the appearance of Splatsville and the members of Deep Cut will take on a cheerful atmosphere to celebrate the arrival of spring.
Deep Cut will sport vibrant and colorful shades, with each member wearing a spring-like charm as a focal point.
Of course, Inkopolis Plaza will also have a spring-themed city atmosphere. The Squid Sisters, who liven up the festival, will also wear outfits reminiscent of cherry blossoms.
If you purchase the Splatoon 3 Expansion Pass, you can head to Inkopolis Plaza immediately, so for those who haven't bought it yet, please take this opportunity!

Furthermore, Inkopolis Square and Off the Hook, which joined Splatoon 3 Splatfests for the first time in the previous event, will also have special attire for Spring Fest!
In contrast to the poppy and colorful Deep Cut and Squid Sisters, Off the Hook will have a monotone and cool look with a rock feel. It looks so cool!
You can go to Inkopolis Square by meeting certain conditions in Side Order from the Splatoon 3 Expansion Pass, so let's meet those conditions by the time Spring Fest begins!
Off the Hook will also make an appearance in special outfits during the Spring Fest! They'll be hyping it up over in Inkopolis Square.

Colorful Special Gear Distribution Starts!
Along with the Spring Fest event, special gear and a special banner are being given as presents so you can coordinate yourselves colorfully!
Regarding the gear, there are four pieces of headgear, including:

- Yellow Pinhole Shades
There are also nine pairs of shoes, which are the following:

You can get them from the Lobby Terminal by opening the Squid Research Lab Bulletin article "Free Special Gear and a Banner for Spring Fest!" from the Game News on your Nintendo Switch console and launching the game via the "Start Splatoon 3" button within the article!
