A gameplay trailer for "Sagat," the first character to join Street Fighter 6 (hereafter referred to as "STO 6") Year 3 on August 6, 2025 (Tuesday), has been released. In the trailer, you can see Sagat overwhelming his opponents with his mastery of Muay Thai techniques.
"Sagat" joins "Street Fighter 6"!
Sagat, the last boss of the original "Street Fighter", will finally join "ST6". Sagat is a master of Muay Thai, but in this game, he and his beloved tiger "Willa Maiu" are hiding deep in the mountains when M. Bison appears and plans to take control of him once again.
Introduction of the character "Sagat
PR TIMESIf you are familiar with Sagat's style of play, you will easily adapt to his style of play in this game. Not only does Sagat still have his long reach and variety of flying tools, but he has also learned new moves that allow him to adapt to a variety of battle situations.
Introduction of Sagat's techniques

Sagat's signature move, the "Tiger Shot," can also be used in this title.
By inputting the Hadoken command with a medium or strong punch, Sagat launches a energy blast forward that hits only standing opponents. The speed of the projectile changes depending on how hard the punch button is pressed, but the OD version (Overdrive version) is faster, hits even crouching opponents, and allows the user to move ahead of the opponent even if they are blocked.
Another Tiger Shot, the "Grand Tiger Shot," is activated by entering the Hadoken command with a weak punch, and fires a energy blast that hits crouching opponents. The use of these shots will be key to deterring opponents.

The "Tiger Uppercut" is an anti-air technique that launches a powerful uppercut from a low position. It is invincible against jump attacks, and in the strong version, holding the button increases the power and blows the opponent away.

The "Tiger Knee Crush" is a surprise attack where the attacker jumps forward and throws a knee kick. The distance to step into the opponent varies depending on the strength of the button, so it is important to manage the distance between the opponent and the Tiger Knee Crush. If the tip of the knee is activated in such a way that it is guarded, not only can the fighter move before the opponent, but in the OD version, an additional attack is possible when the opponent hits a wall, giving the fighter a chance to deal a large amount of damage.
"Tiger Nexus" is a new technique in which Sagat initiates a forward knee kick, which is derived into three different kicking techniques. The following are the techniques that can be derived.
- Tiger Might: A mid-range attack that pierces through a crouching guard.
- Tiger Greed: Cannot hit a crouching opponent. Even if guarded, it can create an advantageous position for Sagat to move first.
- Tiger Nova: Cannot be derived from the weak or medium versions. Even if guarded, this move gives Sagat an advantage and hits an opponent regardless of whether he is standing or crouching, launching him into the air.
Use these moves to your advantage and keep your opponent at your mercy.
Sagat's Super Arts

The Level 1 Super Art "Tiger Cannon" launches a powerful Tiger Shot. If an opponent shows an opening, use "Tiger Cannon" to pursue them immediately.

The Level 2 Super Art "Savage Tiger," which can be used to create an advantageous position depending on the battle situation, has an invincibility time when activated. After catching the opponent, it can be derived into the following four types.
- Savage Tiger Raid: The most damaging of the derived attacks.
- Savage Tiger Zenith: Launches the opponent into the air for a follow-up attack.
- Savage Tiger Pendulum: After a hit, Sagat switches positions with the opponent.
- Savage Tiger Stamp: After Sagat knocks the opponent down, he has the advantage to attack from the ground.
The Level 3 Super Art "Tiger Vanquish" unleashes all of Sagat's power and overwhelms the opponent with a series of kicks and uppercuts, living up to his name as "The King.
