Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. announced that TEKKEN 8, the latest installment in the Tekken series, surpassed 1 million units in cumulative worldwide shipments on its first day of release and 2 million units within one month.
Although TEKKEN 8 was released in January 2024, the implementation of updates and the holding of TEKKEN World Tour 2024 are planned for the future.

Cumulative Worldwide Shipments Surpass 2 Million Units!
It was announced that TEKKEN 8, which appeared for the first time in approximately 7 years since the previous title TEKKEN 7, surpassed 1 million units in cumulative worldwide shipments on its first day of release and 2 million units within one month.
The Tekken series, which was born in arcades in 1994, will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the series in 2024.
In this title, which is set half a year after the previous title TEKKEN 7, the visuals of all 32 participating characters have been completely redesigned. New system elements such as the Heat System and the Special Style control scheme, which allows players to perform various techniques like aerial combos with a single button, have also been introduced, making it possible for even beginners to enjoy exhilarating play with simple controls.
TEKKEN World Tour 2024 Opens in April 2024
The opening of TEKKEN World Tour 2024 is planned for Saturday, April 13, 2024, as an initiative to expand the offline fan community.
It has become the most prestigious tournament circuit in the esports scene of the Tekken series, where players from all over the world compete for ranking points through tournaments held by fighting game communities in various regions to determine the world's strongest player of the year, and it has been held continuously since 2017.

Regarding the latest installment of the series, TEKKEN 8, the implementation of an update is planned for the near future.
The in-game store TEKKEN SHOP, where in-game items such as legacy costumes for playable characters and character skins for avatars will appear, is scheduled to open within the large-scale online visual lobby TEKKEN FIGHT LOUNGE.
