Q. Please tell us about the goals and inspirations when developing Vyse.
We started by focusing on the role and crafting questions that gameplay would answer. For Vyse, we wanted to create a Sentinel that counters aggressive Duelists by taking away space, rather than just stopping pushes. That is, an agent that punishes aggressive players who rush in recklessly.
Q. How would you describe Vyse's playstyle?
Vyse's flash is more effective when placed in advance, so at the start of a round, players will need to make callouts on how to secure an area. Vyse is most effective when throwing flashes, so Vyse players need to be willing to get their hands dirty.
Q. How do you think Vyse will change the current meta?
Recent shifts in the Duelist ecosystem and players' tendency to experiment with double Sentinels have opened new avenues for how VALORANT's maps are structured and approached. By adding a flash to the Sentinel role, we expect players to theorize what tools to bring to each map, or leave behind, and for a wide range of compositions to continue to emerge.
New Skin Series "Nocturnam"
The new skin series "Nocturnam" features fantasy elements where terror and beauty harmonize, and includes skins for the Phantom, Classic, Bulldog, Marshal, and the melee weapon Scythe.
It is equipped with custom kill banners and finisher features, with a mechanism that unleashes a ritual each time an enemy team is defeated.
With the new episode of VALORANT and the introduction of new agent Vyse, players will be able to engage in battles using even more diverse tactics.
