ASUS Japan, Ltd. announces the launch of the " ROG Phone 9 Series " of ultra-high-performance SIM-free gaming smartphones. The lineup consists of three products and four models, and will be available for pre-order on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, with a release date of Friday, March 28, 2025.

The ROG Phone 9 Series is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite mobile platform, the current pinnacle SoC. With up to 24GB of LPDDR5X memory and up to 1TB of storage capacity, it delivers top-quality performance for both everyday use and gaming.

The battery is a 5,800mah dual-cell battery. It supports up to 15W Qi wireless charging and 65W wired fast charging. The ROG Phone's familiar vertical and horizontal USB Type-C ports allow users to play games while charging.

The display features Samsung's 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 185 Hz. The variable refresh rate function, which utilizes LTPO technology and ranges from 1 to 120 Hz, can also be used to significantly reduce power consumption.

The integrated management application "Armoury Crate" and the "Game Genie" feature, which offers approximately 26 assistive tools, make game play a breeze. For example, X Sense 3.0 can automate the collection of in-game items through AI-based image recognition and automatically boost character skills. AI Grabber 2.0" also uses AI to read in-game text to search for strategy information and translate it into Japanese. The "Game Genie" feature is only available in certain applications.

eSIM support for the first time in the series
