Nextorage Corporation has announced the release of the 512GB and 1TB models of its "G Series EX" microSD Express memory cards, which can be used with the Nintendo Switch 2.

Nextorage has announced new, Nintendo Switch 2-compatible models of its "microSD Express Memory Card G Series EX."
Since their launch in June 2025, the series has been popular with many Switch 2 users, but with the recent increase in game sizes, the need for high-capacity models has also grown.
In response to this demand, two models have been added: the 512GB "NM3A512" and the 1TB "NM3A1TB".
The "microSD Express memory card" is a next-generation high-speed microSD card that complies with the PCIe interface and NVMe protocol.
Nextorage has leveraged its expertise in SSD development to achieve a read transfer speed of 880 MB/s.
This overwhelming speed, which is about four times faster than conventional microSD UHS-I cards (with a maximum of 200 MB/s), is said to support an immersive gaming experience by providing faster device startup and reducing dungeon loading times in open-world games.
In addition, the "G Series EX" has passed 10 types of protection and durability tests to ensure your important game data is well-protected. The tests are for water, dust, impact, bending, insertion/removal, temperature, X-ray, UV, static electricity, and magnetism.

The estimated retail price for the "microSD Express Memory Card G Series EX" is 17,980 yen (tax included) for the 512GB model and 35,900 yen (tax included) for the 1TB model.
