NVIDIA has announced the GeForce RTX 50 series, which features the new NVIDIA Blackwell RTX architecture.
The GeForce RTX 5090, scheduled for release on Thursday, January 30, 2025, is reported to be twice as fast as the current high-end model.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 Series Announced
NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang delivered a keynote speech at CES 2025 in Las Vegas, USA, and announced the next-generation GPU, the GeForce RTX 50 series.
The NVIDIA RTX Blackwell architecture boasts a massive 92 billion transistors and enhances AI processing power by strengthening Tensor Cores.
The new DLSS 4, with multi-frame generation, supports an even greater gaming experience.
GeForce RTX 5090 Is Twice as Fast as GeForce RTX 4090
The next-generation high-end model, the GeForce RTX 5090, features:
- GDDR7 Memory: 32GB
- Total Memory Bandwidth: 1,792GB/sec
- CUDA Cores: 21,760
- 5th Generation Tensor Cores: 680
- 4th Generation Ray Tracing Cores: 170
...and is announced to be twice as fast as the current high-end model, the GeForce RTX 4090.

When playing games, DLSS 4 supports rendering.
Even with full ray tracing and all settings maxed out, an ultimate PC gaming experience of 4K/240FPS is possible.
GeForce RTX 5090 and 5080 to Launch on January 30

Initially, the GeForce RTX 5090 and GeForce RTX 5080 will be released on Thursday, January 30, 2025.
Following this, the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti and GeForce RTX 5070 are scheduled for release in February 2025.
Furthermore, laptops equipped with the GeForce RTX 50 series (Laptop) are scheduled to roll out sequentially starting in March 2025.
They will be released by various manufacturers such as ASUS, MSI, HP, and Lenovo.
