Square Enix released the HD-2D version of "Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation" on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S platforms on Thursday, November 14, 2024.
While retaining the series' familiar turn-based command battles and vocation system, new vocations and new content have been added.

The HD-2D version of "Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation" was released today, Thursday, November 14, 2024, on the following platforms:
- Nintendo Switch
- PlayStation 5
- Xbox Series X|S
"Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation" was originally released on the Family Computer in 1988, and 36 years after its release, it has evolved and been reborn as an "HD-2D" version.
While retaining the series' familiar turn-based command battles and vocation system, new vocations and new content have been added.
New Vocations Added!
Nintendo Official WebsiteThe protagonist and their companions have "vocations," and the spells and abilities they can learn, how their parameters grow, and the equipment they can wear differ depending on the vocation.
In addition to Hero, which only the protagonist can become, there are also...
- Warrior
- Martial Artist
- Mage

- Thief
- Sage
...and the newly added Monster Master, making a total of 10.
The Monster Master is a vocation that learns abilities used by monsters and fights in a unique style.
The abilities they learn include powerful ones that can attack all enemies and those that can heal allies, giving them excellent offensive and defensive capabilities.

When you change vocations, your parameters will be halved and your level will reset to 1.
However, spells and abilities learned in your previous vocation will be carried over, so choose the right time to change vocations!
New Content "Monster Battle Road" Appears!

In "Monster Battle Road," you protect "Stray Monsters" that you can encounter in towns and dungeons, form parties of 3 Stray Monsters, and compete in elimination battles.
Players can give "strategies" to monsters based on the battle situation, such as:
- Show No Mercy
- Fight Wisely

- Hiragana mode
Furthermore, an "Helping Hands Feature" has been added, which allows you to lend and borrow companion characters between adventure logs recorded on the same account.
Volunteers can be summoned with their level and equipment from when they were registered.
