This title is the 14th installment in the "Final Fantasy" series.
Set in a vast online world, this RPG offers a variety of ways to play, from embarking on solo adventures to building a home and relaxing with friends.

The Nintendo Switch 2 version of "Final Fantasy XIV" is available exclusively as a digital download on the Nintendo Store.
To celebrate the launch, the Complete Pack is on sale at 30% off until 11:59 PM on Wednesday, August 12, 2026.

A Nintendo Account and a Square Enix Account are required to play.
Link your Nintendo Account to the "User" created on your Nintendo Switch 2 console before purchasing the product, then enter your Square Enix Account details during the initial setup to complete the link.
Please note that once the link is established, you cannot unlink the accounts or switch to a different account.

If you are a "Nintendo Switch Online" subscriber, you can register any one Aetherite in the game as a " Favorite (Free)."
The Gil cost for using Teleport at the registered Aetherite will be free (0 Gil).
Please note that this benefit is valid only while you are logged in on Nintendo Switch 2.

Service fees are free for approximately one month after release

To help stabilize the servers, the service fee will be waived for approximately one month after release.
After that, the 30-day free trial included with the product will begin, and the service fee will apply once the free trial ends.

Even if you are already playing Final Fantasy XIV on another platform, a separate service fee is required for the Nintendo Switch 2 version.
However, if you have an active play pass with remaining days on another platform, the service fee for the Nintendo Switch 2 version will be halved.
Please note that you can play even if you are not a Nintendo Switch Online subscriber.
