Although Monster Hunter Wilds won't be released until summer 2025, our hearts are still racing with the latest information from the official Wilds X (@MH_Wilds) account. How has everyone been doing?
All of the weapon introduction videos have been released, and they're all so appealing that it's really hard to decide which weapon to use.
The hunting horns have started to dance, the charge blades have a new chainsaw, and the lances are still the lances, as usual. (I love the Lance just the way it is.)
And now, the endlessly popular Monster Hunter series is celebrating its 20th anniversary with the "MONSTER HUNTER 20th ANNIVERSARY - Monster Hunter Grand Exhibition -" at Roppongi Hills!
The Saiga NAK editorial team also snuck into the venue and would like to introduce the loot (limited edition merchandise) we purchased!
Behold the Loot!
Saiga NAKWe visited the venue in early August 2024, which was about halfway through the exhibition period, and some of the merchandise was already sold out.
Among the available items, we selected the following:
- Admission Bonus Postcards
- Sanrio Collaboration File Folder
- Hunter Meshi Revival Edition
- "Great Hunting Exhibition" Official Catalog
- Item Pouch-style Pouch
- "I Went to the Great Hunting Exhibition" Cookies
So, let's take a look at each one!
Admission Bonus
Saiga NAKThis is the bonus item you get when you first enter the venue.
One side depicts the familiar Doshaguma and a Hunter in battle from Wilds.
The other side shows the main monsters and Hunters from the series' history.
There's also a NOW item redemption code and Clorets (which also has a limited design—so much love!).
Sanrio Collaboration File Folder
Saiga NAKI didn't expect to find this at the Great Hunting Exhibition, so it was a pleasant surprise!
There were also keychains, but as expected from the great Sanrio, all of my favorite characters were sold out...
Hunter Meshi Revival Edition
Saiga NAKThis series is sold in convenience stores, and I often buy it, but can't fellow Hunters tell what's different about this one???
That's right, the equipment is more luxurious!
For the Great Hunting Exhibition, there were more variations of the Hunter's equipment!
Other options included Mizutsune, Magnamalo, and Malzeno, but I chose my favorite, Velkhana from Iceborne, and Nergigante!
Overwhelming Presence! The "Great Hunting Exhibition" Official Catalog!
Saiga NAKThis is a must-buy; it feels like a duty. It's a promise.
The content has more detailed settings than the actual exhibition itself. Nerds like me love this stuff!
I'm not talking about it much now, but I'm reading it carefully so that one day I can become a fast-talking nerd.
Item Pouch-style Pouch
Saiga NAKThis is it! This is what I've always wanted!!
The design is as if the in-game item pouch was brought into the third dimension.
It's nostalgic to see the now-gone Cool Drinks and Hot Drinks.
The attention to detail, like equipping Honey and Charms for combining, shows the official team's love and is just amazing!
"I Went to the Great Hunting Exhibition" Cookies
Saiga NAKThis product really stood out at the merchandise section...
I felt the rough-and-tumble vibe unique to Monster Hunter from the huge font, so I bought it immediately.
Here's what's inside:
Saiga NAKIt's Fatalis, the classic Rathalos icon, and the 20th-anniversary logo!! (At first, I didn't recognize it as Rathalos and thought it was a new character.)
And that concludes the introduction of our loot!
Saiga NAKHonestly, I wanted merchandise of many of my favorite characters, but they sold out in seconds...
However, I'm fully satisfied after having special experiences like the VR and Attack of Fatalis!
The "MONSTER HUNTER 20th ANNIVERSARY - Monster Hunter Grand Exhibition -" is being held at Mori Arts Center Gallery in Roppongi Hills until Sunday, September 8, 2024.
It's a powerful exhibition commemorating the 20th anniversary of "Monster Hunter," so don't miss out, Hunters!
Now that Hunters can walk and use items at the same time, I'm tired, so I'll eat my Hunter Meshi and escape from the office.
See you later!
