Smaller and more powerful than the Xbox One! I finally got the next generation machine "Xbox Series S" of ultra-small and lightest, so I opened it immediately!

Review

The Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, Microsoft's next-generation game consoles, are smaller and lighter than the previous-generation Xbox One All Digital Edition, despite the fact that the Xbox Series S is a disc drive-less console. The "Xbox Series X" and "Xbox Series S" are smaller and lighter than the previous generation "Xbox One All Digital Edition" despite being next generation consoles.
The PlayStation 5 also has a disk drive-less version, but the size is not that much different.

The "Xbox Series S" is also significantly smaller and costs 29,980 yen, a mere 5,000 yen more than the "Xbox One All Digital Edition" at 24,980 yen. The "Xbox Series S" is a very cost-effective console.
Now that I finally got my hands on the "Xbox Series S," I would like to do the customary opening ceremony!

Check out the box of the "Xbox Series S," the next generation game console!

The front of the box before opening.

The back looks like this.
Xbox's catchphrase "JUMP IN" is coolly written on the box.

Saiga NAK

The side of the box.
The "Xbox Series S" is said to be a low-priced version, but it has 120FPS output and a 512GB SSD disk.
The lack of a disk drive is also listed in the same row, but it seems to be more of an appealing point than a disadvantage.

Saiga NAK

The main specs are similarly listed at the bottom of the front of the box.
The "Xbox Velocity Architecture" logo, which is the soul of the next generation of Xbox, is also on the bottom of the box.

Even the cardboard cushioning has the word "Xbox" on it!

The exterior of the "Xbox Series S".
It looks like a smaller version of the Xbox One All Digital Edition.

Ports on the back.
All USB ports are USB 3.1.
Expandable storage would be nice!
The 1TB Seagate storage expansion card for the Xbox Series X|S can be inserted.

Saiga NAK

The front ports are simply USB ports only. This one is also USB 3.1.
Next to it is a connection button for pairing with a controller.

Saiga NAK

The Xbox Series S can be placed vertically or horizontally, and has rubber feet on the bottom and sides.

"Hello from Seattle."
Greetings from Seattle, home of Microsoft's headquarters.

Saiga NAK

And the Xbox logo.
Simple and cool...!

Must see for PC users too! Look at the next-gen controllers!

Saiga NAK

The included controller.
The Xbox gamepad is popular among PC users, but how has the controller for the next generation console evolved?

Saiga NAK

The connection cable has changed from micro USB to USB Type-C.

Saiga NAK

An earphone jack is also included.

Saiga NAK

Grip part.
Compared to the controller for the previous generation machine, it has a textured texture finish and a stronger grip to prevent slipping.

Saiga NAK

The L/R buttons are also designed not to slip.

Saiga NAK

And the analog sticks!

Saiga NAK

Compared to the previous generation Xbox controller.
The cross keys are now full circle and a share button is also included.
The Xbox gamepad is easy to use and many people love it for PC games, but the next generation Xbox controller alone is a design you will definitely want to get.

How will gameplay be on the next generation console!

That's it for the "Xbox Series S" unboxing ceremony!
Next time, we will bring you a review of the actual game play!
